As stranded Carnival Cruise passengers began finally disembarking in Mobile, Alabama, late Thursday evening, MSNBC had NBC News correspondent Mark Potter on the scene to speak with them.
One young lady during her over three minute interview tried to cite a Bible verse that helped her get through the ordeal, but Potter pulled his microphone away and quickly ended the discussion (video follows with transcript and commentary):
The MSM hates white Christians. That’s why they do everything possible to marginalize them and keep them off the air.
Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
If she’d thanked her horoscope stars, I bet they would’ve given her as much air as she wanted.
Garlic......vampires.........
I watched the video the reported did not end the interview after the mother quoted the Bible. He even talked to the little girl and asked her what her favorite verse was.
Then verified that the studio could hear what the people said.
Scroll down to the update and see how Fox News Channel handled a Bible quoting family.
I don’t believe that is why he turned away.
There are folks who, for some reason, endlessly quote passages from the Bible and seem unable to put forward their own opinions. It’s almost as though they are fearfull of expressing themselves.
It is impossible to talk with someone like that. After the third or fourth recitation, I nod, smile and leave.
If you ever want to scare a liberal away, just recite the bible..works every time..I saw the interview with the family on Fox News last night, a beautiful family..they passed the time by reciting the bible verses, the little girl Julianna has them all practically memorized..the reporter even asked the girl what her favorite verses were..was nice to see
That reporter is one ugly dude. He sort of looks like the monster from Young Frankenstein.
And he didn’t wait for even one before passing that judgment. It’s a perfectly valid thing for a Christian to say that he or she was moved or encouraged by a particular piece of Scripture. NBC was being a total secular-head.
“The MSM hates white Christians. Thats why they do everything possible to marginalize them and keep them off the air.”
True (though some later posts indicate that this wasn’t the case here); to me media people are somewhere below child molesters but above public school teachers and personal injury attorneys...
“NBC was being a total secular-head.”
No doubt. It is all about ratings and getting that one quote that grabs the public’s attention.
So reporters know what their listeners want to hear - How was the trip? Was it really that awful on the cruise? What about those over flowing toilets?
Nice Christian people quoting the Bible isn’t going to make it on the 6 o’clock everning news. And I doubt that those quoting Buddha or the Koran would make it, either.
At least the news anchors might not think it will, but they are living in their own little solipsistic boxes. There is still a large minority of Americans who would find that an attractive note in a news story.
the reporter was just sticking with the separation of church and MEdia....
Rant spoiler.
if she was spouting from the koran he’d have wet his pants and thrown down a prayer rug for her.
