Sen. Ted Cruz lost his voice a couple days ago.
Some senators probably wish it wouldnt come back at least for a little while.
In six short weeks since he became the junior Texas GOP senator, the no-nonsense freshman has quickly become a lightning rod on issues ranging from guns to Chuck Hagels nomination for defense secretary upending the Senates conventional ways, in which freshmen typically work quietly to build bridges with their colleagues.
Cruzs sharp-elbowed Senate style underscores the dilemma facing Republicans as they seek a way out of the political wilderness: Rising stars like Cruz, a tea party favorite, are winning elections and GOP primaries. But their no-compromise, firebrand styles could turn off voters eager to see the two parties start making deals.

Behind closed doors, some Republican senators report that Cruz, in his stone-cold serious prosecutorial style, speaks at length when its far more common for freshmen to wait before asserting themselves particularly ones who were just sworn in.
(snip)
Its becoming a trend when youre a new arrival, lamented one Senate Republican who asked not to be named. They dont get to know the Senate or the other senators; they just start talking. And that takes away from [Cruzs] ability to be an influential legislator.
Another GOP senator reported that fellow Republicans were already getting annoyed by Cruzs antics.

Annoy a RINO. Defend Life, Liberty and the Constitution!
MSNBC’s resident RINO, Joe Scarbrough, opined this morning that Sen. Cruz would soon learn his lesson. He will have to “go along to get along,” the credo of the Senate, the World’s Worst Deliberative Body.
However, Sen. Cruz knows that when he becomes a member of the Moss Backs, he will not be re-elected from Texas. We are not as stupid as the voters of AZ.
And really annoy them by mentioning God, guns, abortion, marriage or borders!
Cruz better watch his back, liberals are liberals and republican liberals are more devious, underhanded and dishonorable than out in the open liberal democrats.
Senator Cruz, trust on one in Washington, no one and please continue to speak out to the blithering fools of both parties!
"They dont get to know the Senate or the other senators; they just start talking. And that takes away from [Cruzs] ability to be an influential legislator.
So ... your influence is the result, not of what you know or think or say, but WHO you know, by shutting up until that WHO allows you to speak ?
It's about time we had someone actually telling these stuffed shirted empty suits to GFY.
Ted Cruz is my adoptive Senator. However, I am not buying this article by politico because there are no names associated with the quotes.
This guy Cruz has the makings of a conservative Senator, a very, very rare breed.
The Rinos are not annoyed enough to come out in public and show their Rino Faces while they speak this trash. I wonder why?
I don’t remember any of this concern when “mouthy” Liberals like Chuck Schumer and Barbara Boxer started as Senators ...
He will soon, if not already, have a big target on his back for the media.
They always do this and will go after him with vengeance. It will interesting to see how that plays out.
And that butt-wipe Juan MeCain thinks Cruz needs to be more like him by acknowledging Dem Senate committee chairman criticism.
This warmed my heart:
And the Texas tea partier was quick to annoy one of the most powerful Senate Democrats, Chuck Schumer, after he engaged in a combative line of questioning with the New Yorker on a recent Sunday talk show, even though senators from opposing parties are typically far more collegial in those settings.
I saw that show, and it was refreshing not to see the usual republican lapdogs who are always on these shows: McCain, Graham, Corker, McConnell, etc.
But their no-compromise, firebrand styles could turn off voters eager to see the two parties start making deals.”
...MONSTROUS BULLSH&&!! That’s why he’s winning! We don’t want no stinkin’ “deals”! We don’t want no “compromise”!
I do not know how to insert pictures, but if I did I’d post the Grumpy Cat saying, “Good”.
However, it’s Pollutico - “behind closed doors”, “asked not to be named”, eh.
But there is no doubt McLettuce, Grahamesty, etc. don’t appreciate Cruz. Makes me smile and very happy to have voted for him in both the primary and general election.
I don’t read politco. I never link to that libtard site.
Now if only Representative Trey Gowdy of South Carolina would run for the Senate, the *Good old Rino boys* would have a fit with him and Cruz in the Senate.
I like Cruz alot. We must hope he stays inspired since he can never be President or Vice President ( born in Canada) but we can hope he will help where he is needed is the Tea Party administration that now is looming.
