Police in Christopher Dorner standoff launched incendiary tear gas into cabin

By CHUCK BENNETT and DAVID K. LI From Post Wires Last Updated: 6:14 AM, February 14, 2013

Murderous ex-cop Christopher Jordan Dorner wanted to go out in a blaze of glory — and the sheriff’s deputies who surrounded his California mountain hideout provided the flames.

The San Bernardino County cops torched the wooden cabin with highly flammable “incendiary tear gas” as Dorner took refuge Tuesday, apparently burning him to a crisp.

“Burn this mf--er!” one officer shouted as they had Dorner — who had earlier killed a deputy and seriously wounded another — pinned down in the cabin, according to police radio transmissions.

Amid sounds of gunfire, voices can be head shouting, “Burn it down!” and “Shoot the gas!”

If the other options are “duh, pull back,” or “duh, wait him out,” or “duh, let him bleed,” or “duh, find the guy with the bullhorn,” guess what?

>>How long are they required to wait? How many man hours do you require to be wasted? How many hours of helicopter and pilot time? First responder standby time? Can you provide a breakdown for us?<<

You want to put a price on our freedoms and the rule of law this land was based on? Really?

Every madman murder and tyrannical despot in the last two thousand years has consumed some sort of bread product.

How do you know? /s

What is it about “follow the rule of law” that you don’t understand?

The part where you cannot tell anyone what law was broken.

“It’s getting really hard on these Chris P. Dorner threads to assume you don’t need a < /sarc > tag.”

Impossible, unfortunately.

Well, here’s your answer. Whatever it takes to make sure the rule of law is not broken and all rights of citizenship are upheld.

Hmmm. What financial threshold justifies murder under the color of authority? I'll assume for the sake of convenience there is a dollar value to man hours, helicopter air time and such, just so every agency can play on a even field.

Is a suspect's life worth 1,000,000 dollars? $10?

Do we set a value up-front and allow him to live only up to his budgeted allotment?

If a policeman murders him before the dollar value is used up does get a bonus for time and effort saved?

If we train them to shoot to kill as part of their first contact with a suspect, can we use the cost savings to balance the budget?

By God man, think of all the money we waste on trials and prisons!

Great idea! You're a fraking genius!

Bless your heart...

How about due process? Maybe excessive force? Tell ya what. Make sure your friends and neighbors understand that if anything happens in your neighborhood or to your family that involves rogue LEOs overstepping their bounds that no one is to step in to stop the LEO from doing whatever they want.

Well, it’s a crummy way to do it. You need a combustible. It’s not exactly a flame thrower.

Anyway Marco Rubio spilled water on himself. That’s the really important story we need to be talking about because that’s what’s on the news.

Baah....baaaaaah

What rights of citizenship allow a person to shoot at, wound and kill police officers?

If someone is shooting at the police, the police has the legal authority to respond with deadly force. Furthermore, there is no "he stopped shooting at us" countdown.

As for the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments, I asked first: which of the two (or both) are implicated when contemplating someone who is shooting at the police? Let's have it, professor.

What financial threshold justifies murder

Who was murdered besides the young female basketball coach, her fiance and police officers?

Is a suspect's life worth 1,000,000 dollars? $10?

Depends on how much life insurance he has. Otherwise, if shooting at cops, ZERO.

If a policeman murders him

Are you claiming a policeman in fact did?

If we train them to shoot to kill

From the evidence I've seen of police shooting accuracy I have to conclude that if that is in fact the case, the training is a failure. Much like your suppositions and conjecture.

Is that the “he did it first” defense? No one said what Dorner did was legal, ethical, or any other than illegal. That doesn’t give the LEOs to sidestep the rule of law.
