Police Appeared To Shout 'Burn This Mother' Down Before Fire Engulfed Rogue Ex-Cop's Cabin
Business Insider Military & Defense ^ | 13 Feb 13 | Paul Szoldra

A six-day California manhunt ended Tuesday with rogue ex-cop Christopher Dorner apparently dying in a cabin fire on Bear Mountain.

One of many big questions to be answered is how the deadly fire was started.

Multiple unconfirmed audio clips appear to show police officers talking about burning down the cabin in which the alleged cop-killer was hiding.

Deliberately starting a fire, rather than waiting out the suspect, could be seen as an extreme measure.

---(snip)

In an unconfirmed video showing live footage from KCAL9 Los Angeles, officers are apparently caught in the background around the 20 second mark saying, "burn that f------ house down." It continues:

[Inaudible]

"Burn him out!"

"Get to him right now, f------ burn this motherf-----!"

Another unconfirmed video posted to YouTube of television coverage from CBS 2 captures officers apparently saying, "burn it down, burn it down ... get the gas." Another officer says, "yeah, burn it down." The exchange happens around the 1:24 mark:

The Guardian reports that journalist Max Blumenthal was listening to the police scanners, and live-tweeting the event.

On the scanners, Blumenthal reports hearing an exchange where the police talk about using "burners." The Daily Caller is reporting that is police slang for tear gas.

"All right, Steve, we're gonna go, we're gonna go forward with the plan, with the burner."

"Copy," is the response.

"We want it, like we talked about."

"Seven burners deployed and we have a fire," says the first voice.

"Copy. Seven burners deployed and we have a fire," responds a female voice.

"So, to get this strait, burning a home down is self defense?"

Yes, if you're taking fire from a self-confessed mass murderer - who has repeatedly declared that he would not be taken alive, & has shot to kill on all previous encounters with pursuing cops - is held up in that home!

"Are cops now judges/juries and not defenders of the Constitution?"

You're confused. When, after a black has already killed many, and is in the act of trying to kill some more, it becomes the job of the ACLU, the Communist Party and the Black Panther Party to defend the Constitution. It is the cops' and every other patriotic American's duty to kill the SOB.

"I understand your revulsion, but in point of fact the law does not make a distinction between types of deadly force."

Only when police use such discretion (e.g., burning someone to death). Police have written articles warning non-police against using handloaded ammunition for self-defense, implying that someone using handloads may be charged with murder, even after only defending themselves.

The post I was replying to (”Looks like you’re ok with the cops handing out the death penalty.”) was included in the post of mine you responded to. Try reading it dim-wit!

You argue like a real leftist

That's funny. You're dictating what the thread is about, but those who recognize your disdain for the rule of law are leftists.

What's next, death squads are "patriotic?"

Oh, believe me Mr Cop Sucker, I’m reading your posts!

I love the piss and whine about the thread’s subject, then you cast aspersions for not adding Stalin and Mao to someone’s perfectly sufficient Nazi reference.

You argue with all the principle and dignity of a petulant schoolgirl.

"The cops willfully destroyed the property of some law-abiding citizen.

Vandalism and destruction of private property and possibly murder by fire. How does this make these officers much different from Dorner in his vendetta and desire for revenge? They weren't smart enough to wait this guy out or use other psyops on him? Or was Obama ticked off that his ratings would be stolen by an alleged cop killer and they got it done? Remember, he has given himself the ability to assassinate by drone American citizens. He is judge and jury and decides who lives and who dies.

These officers were following the example CIC has set. This is trashing the Constitution and the 14th Amendment.

What the heck. We're better than this!

"But I defy anyone to defend anything this guy did, morally or legally."

Can't argue with that, but the method of arresting him--if by burning--was a demonstration of a vain lack of consideration for public affairs and morality. Contrary to what many lawyers have alleged, our American law was first founded mainly on morality--not Roman law. Immoral behavior and lack of public affairs training are what brought us to this sorry mess of national hysteria and panic.

"When, after a black has already killed many... It is...every patriotic American's duty to kill the SOB"

Do you work for NBC news? Cutting out parts to slant its meaning!

Try the entire quote: "When, after a black has already killed many, and is in the act of trying to kill some more, it becomes the job of the ACLU, the Communist Party and the Black Panther Party to defend the Constitution. It is the cops' and every other patriotic American's duty to kill the SOB."

The longer this thread goes on the more I feel that FR has leftist moles posing as being libertarians.

There is no specific law to which I refer. It may be rooted in Common Law, but there is no case law that says the police can only defend themselves with guns. As for executions, yes that has been ruled on numerous times by the supreme court, but it’s also a completely different scenario. Self defense versus a contemplated execution by the State, in which the duty of the State is to not inflict unnecessary suffering. That logic has never applied to any self defense scenario.

You have no idea what "American" means. And this one sentence of yours proves your every reference to leftist organizations nothing but rhetorical camouflage.

You're confused.

Look in the mirror, I support the Constitution here, not emotional trades over un proven accusations.

Look, the man was probably a nut, he deserved to be taken down if what he is accused of is true, but this is a dangerous precedent. We have courts to decide who is guilty and who is not, not the media.

I suspect, in a few days, months, some other villain will appear and it will be deemed necessary that he be taken out by an armed drone. I see a very precarious slope here and what worse is I see support of it here when the prpopler emotions can be riled up.

Not good IMO, call me paranoid if you wish but before you do, consider who and what we have as a POTUS.

...they are not 100% sure it is Dorner.

Which is another reason you don't go Fahrenheit 451 when attempting to capture someone if you're an officer of the law.

I think the issue of using handloads in self defense comes from civil case law, not the police, specifically. In other words, an attorney will find some way of attacking your actions, no matter what they were. They also do that to the police, but that is a very different matter from what I stated. There is no case law, or statute of which I am aware that says the only allowable means of self defense is a gun, or any other specific means. One is entitled to use whatever means are available when faced with a deadly threat.

Say, I know this is off topic a bit on this thread, but since you're an ex-badge, do you hold your brethren who fired on innocents to the same standard?

Just askin....

They DID burn innocent folks’ property. That wasn’t the perp’s cabin. The cops willfully destroyed the property of some law-abiding citizen.

So glad to see someone mention this fact. What if this had been someone's home, and they were out to work and school when the wanted man decides to hole up there?
