The KCBS is showing video of the actual afternoon shootout. Their reporter was following a group of law enforcement officers searching in their vehicles when they came across Dorner. Two sheriff officers were shot and the others open fire. The reporter stayed in his car with the camera on the dash and records hundreds of rounds fired at the cabin. The footage will be shown over and over again, no doubt on YouTube.

I'm hoping you are right, but my view of the video brings up the question as to whether or not the two officers might have been hit by friendly fire. The cops were shooting somewhat indiscriminately in the direction where the two officers were. One of them might have mistaken one of the cops for the suspect.
They shot 50 rounds at close range at a couple of old ladies and missed them with 48.
