The White House has heard enough about Benghazi. White House press secretary Jay Carney on Monday blasted Senate Republicans for threatening to block Defense Secretary-nominee Chuck Hagel and John Brennan, nominated to head the CIA, in a quest for more information about what President Obama did on the night that terrorists killed four Americans in the U.S. Consulate in Libya. We have answered these questions, Mr. Carney said. The president found out about the attack in Benghazi in a meeting with his secretary of defense and chairman of the Joint Chiefs from his national security adviser.

From the twitter messages sent out before the attack from the guys at the compound, I bet they were pretty aware that there would be no Cavalry sent from the Obama Administration.

Q: Why didn't 0bama call an emergency meeting in the Situation Room at any time during the 7 hour fire fight in Benghazi? A: President Obama's favorite color is blue.

Sorry, not a tweet:
'Troubling' Surveillance Before Benghazi Attack
The account accords with a message written by Smith, the IT officer who was killed in the assault, on a gaming forum on Sept. 11. "Assuming we don't die tonight. We saw one of our police' that guard the compound taking pictures," he wrote hours before the assault.
Attack Victim Shared His Fears in Messages
During downtime, Mr. Smith was an avid player of an online multiplayer game called Eve Online, in which hundreds of thousands of participants across the globe took on roles like pirates or diplomats in a science fiction setting. Mr. Smiths online name was vile rat.
Alex Gianturco, an Eve Online player and a friend of Mr. Smiths, said on his blog on Wednesday that he had been chatting online with Mr. Smith before the attack, and Mr. Smith indicated that he knew he was in some danger.
He wrote as protesters gathered outside: Assuming we dont die tonight. We saw one of our police that guard the compound taking pictures.
Mr. Smith was so well known that fellow players elected him to a group that confers with CCP, the company that designed the game, about improvements. He was widely known for using his diplomacy skills to moderate online conflicts.
Mr. Gianturco said that players had become used to Mr. Smith leaving play during perilous moments abroad, only to return to his online adventures when things calmed in the real world.
In Baghdad the same kind of thing happened incoming sirens, hed vanish, wed freak out and hed come back O.K. after a bit, Mr. Gianturco said.
But on Tuesday, Mr. Smiths final message was gunfire, Mr. Gianturco said. Then he disconnected and never returned.
