Washington is in a fit of collective terror over the "sequester," aka the impending across-the-board spending cuts. Trying to explain the zero economic growth at the end of 2012, White House spokesman Jay Carney blamed Republicans for "talk about letting the sequester kick in as though that were an acceptable thing." He left out that President Obama proposed the sequester in 2011.

Now, he’s running against himself. Amazing.
They’re so worried that they want to allow millions more immigrants in, legal and otherwise.
Dont Gut Our Military: $150 Billion in Commonsense Proposals to Prevent Sequestration

The so-called Conservatives who are applauding this travesty should be ashamed of themselves. Sequestration does nothing about Entitlements, which are gobbling up 2/3rds of all spending are and are spinning out of control. Entitlements are breaking the back of this nation, and sapping our morality, destroying our national will, and crippling our economic vitality.

It is absolutely amazing to me that is the Republicans that have flipped 180 degrees on gutting the military since the election. The betrayal is simply stunning. For months, they told the truth about the military cuts (17% of the budget taking 50% of the sequester cuts).
During the Dec/Jan "Fiscal Cliff" negotiations they didn't lift a finger to stop the sequester.
Now, we have Paul Ryan and Eric Cantor smirking on the Sunday shows about how great it is.
Incredible.
The big question is will the Republican cave, again.
