You are right. They actually are very cautious of how they park in these situations, especially emergency situations. This is because they don’t want their vehicle to be another obstacle for further emergency vehicles. There is a lot of training and practice on even simple things like parking.
For example, in this program, ‘parking’ is an entire section of the advanced program.
