Panetta: Obama Absent Night of Benghazi Daniel Halper February 7, 2013 12:05 PM
Defense Secretary Leon Panetta testified this morning on Capitol Hill that President Barack Obama was absent the night four Americans were murdered in Benghazi on September 11, 2012:
Panetta said that Obama left operational details, including knowledge of what resources were available to help the Americans under siege, "up to us."
In fact, Panetta says that the night of 9/11, he did not communicate with a single person at the White House. The attack resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens.
Panetta said that, save their 5 o'clock prescheduled meeting with the president the day of September 11, Obama did not call or communicate in anyway with the defense secretary that day. There were no calls about what was going on in Benghazi. He never called to check-in.
Axelrod: Chris, as I said, immediately when word of the attack came, the president was meeting with his top national security folks. He was talking to them well into the night. He was in touch with them during the day, as during the next day as well. So, there is no question about the fact that he was focused on this.
Panetta: “Obama was AWOL” no communications with Obutthole that night.

Sounds like Axelboner is caught in one big fat greasy lie. What a surprise! /sarc
Simply ignore the subject.
Excellent!
(Poaching)
Simply ignore the subject.
I'm so damn mad, I'm about ready to water the tree of liberty. .
So, all those pictures, with 4 people in the room, showing Obama being up-dated on the Benghazi affair, were not really about that event? Talk about a lot of baloney!
Your take is Panetta is LYING FOR Obama? Like Rice lied for him? Too bad the suck-ups at the New York Times aren't even casually interested. They might wind up with a metaphorical picture of John Edwards child - and everyone will be laughing at the Time's lame attempt to do a cover up for their lover - Obama... Is the Washington Post still sitting on their hands?
Saxy Chambliss excused him by saying his mind was on the election. Congressmen forget to mention that he is the CIC. He needs to be impeached for this dereliction of duty. He and Hillary wanted them dead is the only conclusion that can be drawn from what went on.
http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2012/12/14/CHAFFETZ-INJURED-BENGHAZI-SURVIVORS-EVACUATED-to-TRIPOLI-ON-NIGHT-of-ATTACK "Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R - UT) claims that the State Department is not telling Congress where the Americans who survived the deadly attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi are."
Axlegrease lied to protect the candidate and make him look somewhat presidential which was his job. Panetta told the truth.
It’s time to stand up to Barack Obama. He is responsible for this. The President is in charge of all departments below him. He is the CIC, not Hillary, not Panetta. Time to force his testimony under oath with the ability to prove that he is lying under oath.
I don’t care what anyone says, there are forces lurking that are going to try and destroy obama.
If what Panetta is saying is true, and I think he’s much more believable, the once again obama’s been caught in a lie. Panetta has absolutely nothing to lose.
Have you seen this? Its from the link... DHS is buying more ammunition - they must think theres millions of Republicans to kill ...

The federal agencys primary concern is now centered around thwarting homegrown terrorism, but information produced and used by the DHS to train its personnel routinely equates conservative political ideology with domestic extremism.
A study funded by the Department of Homeland Security that was leaked last year characterizes Americans who are suspicious of centralized federal authority, and reverent of individual liberty as extreme right-wing terrorists.
Maybe Panetta is disgusted that BO wasn’t engaged in the attack and has let Clinton and Panetta be grilled over when it should really be BO up there testifying. BO is the CIC. If liberals are so upset over the drones, then hearing that BO was awol while these attacks were happening, maybe the tide will turn. BO looks like a cold hearted bastard at this point and those feel-good libs shouldn’t like that too much.
Here’s how CNN is reporting the testimony
“Within 17 minutes, Panetta said, unarmed, unmanned surveillance aircraft were dispatched to give U.S. officials a better idea of what was happening. It arrived about 70 minutes after the attack, he said.
Soon, Panetta and Dempsey met with President Barack Obama, the secretary told lawmakers.
Obama ordered that the Defense Department respond to the attack with “all available DOD assets” and try to protect U.S. personnel, Panetta said.”
Does anyone have a transcript. If the alphabet news is misleading (under statement), this needs to be reported.
Read that the Ambassador WAS involved in a gun-running scam that went awry. He knew too much. Possibly he could have blown the lid off of this. That’s why he feared for his safetyand requested more security, which was denied. I think they wanted the Ambassador taken out to keep him quiet.
“Mr. Panetta said he and Mr. Obama, along with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, discussed the attack for 15 minutes in the Oval Office the afternoon of Sept. 11, and also covered an anti-American protest that had broken out that day at the U.S. embassy in Cairo, Egypt.
Testifying to the Senate Armed Services Committee, Mr. Panetta said the president told them to do whatever you need to do to be able to protect our people there, though when it came to specifics the president left it up to us.
Republicans said they were dismayed that the Defense Departments top officials and Mr. Obama didnt speak again over the next six hours, during witch two attacks claimed the lives of four Americans, including Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens.”
