WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama says the Boy Scouts of America should open its membership to gays and lesbians when its national executive board discusses the issue this week.

Obama praised the scouts as “a great institution” that promotes young people, giving them lifelong leadership training and opportunities. During a pre-Super Bowl interview on CBS, he said “no one should be barred from that.”

The Boy Scouts announced last week it was considering replacing its longstanding ban on gays with a policy to let troop sponsors make their own decision on the issue.

Eh. Nobody at the WaPo seems to appreciate the 1st Amendments provisos for freedom of association, which multiple courts have ruled implies freedom of dissociation for private organizations, which the BSA is.

If they want a scouting group that admits gays, let someone found their own organization along those lines. They can call it the Rump Rangers and invent a whole new set of merit badges.

What Obama is doing is getting us in a little more trouble with God each and every day. God's direct judgement takes place over a number of years, and it will not affect Pres Zer0 one bit in the near term.

You have to know that obama is only a power mad reprobate since he obviously has no problem with the destruction of his own children's lives.

They are now "doomed" to a life of being in a "protective" prison...any "normal" life of growing into adulthood is not impossible.

We are not under a King in the USA, WE VOTED FOR THE MAN, which is to say, WE WANT HIM TO LEAD US AND IMPLEMENT THE LAWS FOR US. And oh BTW, we also voted for Democrats to write laws in the Senate.
