NASHVILLE, Tenn. A Republican lawmaker is proposing legislation that would require schools to inform a student's parents if the child is engaging in homosexual activity.
Under the measure sponsored by Sen. Stacey Campfield of Knoxville, a school counselor, nurse or principal can inform parents if their children's "circumstances present immediate and urgent safety issues involving human sexuality."
Campfield told reporters on Wednesday that he considers the "act of homosexuality" to be dangerous to a child's health and safety.
The measure is part of a similar proposal, known as the "Don't Say Gay" bill, that Campfield passed in the Senate in 2011, but the companion bill failed in the House last year.
The proposal would ban the teaching of gay issues to elementary and middle school students.
Campfield says the current legislation has a House sponsor and he's optimistic about its passage.

>> Dont rightly care
You got that one right.
As I recall, informed by your posting history, pretty much anything on the liberal agenda is a “don’t care” for you.
>> Too bad yalls parents didnt beat some humor into you guys.
Oh, I saw the humor, all right... wry sarcasm category. Mocking.
I also see the world view behind the humor: pro-faggot.
There’s actually a lot of stuff on anyone’s agenda that I don’t care about.
Campfield, from the scientificly supportable position, states the obvious. Allowing male children especially, to follow the homosexual acts of coprophilic behavior and all the “special” diseases that go with it, is not just revolting, it is a profound threat to public health.
Stacey is the guy the state media, Democrats, and Liberals in general love to hate. They’re gunning for him big time in the next election (to the point of supporting an alternate Republican to run against him in the Primary). He’s also sponsored SB0132, limiting those cash dollars welfare recipients receive in the form of Temporary Assistance to Needy Families. If the children of TANF recipients fail to maintain satisfactory progress in school, those lose benefits over and above food stamps, housing assistance, etc. http://wapp.capitol.tn.gov/apps/sponsorlist/default.aspx?ID=S070&ga=108
This isn’t Cali, Buster. There is NO way even the Dems in Tennessee would ever try to take our guns away!!
HOMOSEXUAL, because there's nothing GAY about it.
With all due respect, there are also straight pedophiles, preferring young girls. Just as evil.
I never use the word gay. My wife cringes every time the topic comes up because I call it what it is, “sodomite”.
Would this include activities such as membership in whatever gay clubs exists in high school these days, or strictly physical stuff like holding hands, etc....
This bill is from the same seantor who wants to...
Lawmaker: Let’s Cut Welfare When Kids Get Bad Grades
http://www.newser.com/story/161784/lawmaker-lets-cut-welfare-when-kids-get-bad-grades.html
We need more lawmakers like this guy. Thousands more.
I was going to say the same. The suicide rate is simply FRIGHTENING. It is incumbent on schools to give the parents a chance to try to prevent it.
“They tried, bless their hearts, but with this one it takes a village. :-)”
ZING!!!
“Lawmaker: Lets Cut Welfare When Kids Get Bad Grades”
This is a tough one, as the ONLY kids that learn anything, with our present public schools, are the kids lucky enough to have parents that take teaching into their own hands.
The other ones are simply HOPELESS.
