Israel conducted a rare airstrike on a military target inside Syria, foreign officials and Syrian state TV say, amid fears President Bashar al-Assad's regime is providing weapons to the Islamic militant group Hezbollah.
A statement from the Syrian military read aloud on state TV confirmed the strike, saying the jets bombed a military research centre in the area of Jamraya, northwest of the capital, Damascus.

Yes, there's going to be a war, Israel will annex Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Jordan, at least part of Syria... Then, with Hezbollah and Hamas gone, Israel will feel at peace. Without Lebanon, there will be no other claims to the gas fields in the Mediterranean, so Israel will be prosperous... Those will be the conditions that will lead to the Eze. 38 War.
Good read. I do not agree with everything, but it seems like we are mostly on the same page: Israel will not be defeated, the Church will be raptured very soon, and at the end of the Tribulation Jesus will come back. That's all that really matters, the rest is very interesting eschatological discussion.

The basic differece is that the opposition still has no weapons in Egypt, unlike in Syria.

I suggest you check up on that. Assad's Ba'ath movement is secular in nature. His alliances are with Shia Iran. The Muslim Brotherhood is Sunni and is the largest contingent among the groups battling Assad.

Right place, wrong rationale. The Ba'ath Party has protected Syria's Christians for decades.
The Coptic Christians have very limited choices (see tag line). Obama is supporting their enemies in Morsi's government. They don't have a real friend in the world.
