No where in their press release do they mention being sorry for their decision. Another American company will start up and kick these Brits butt.

Since it’s been postponed and not cancelled, does this mean they get to keep the advance $$$ paid by the venders? This could be a hardship for the small guys....

No exhibitors/celebrities equals no show. I presume they call it a postponement in order to get back some of their fees or at least apply them to a future event (likely not related).
Reed has effectively canceled the show without an apology or even admission that they were at fault. The thinly veil a charge that it is the exhibitors that are at fault for getting bent out of shape over something that didnt directly affect them. Their illusion to politically charged atmosphere is bizarre, given they were the ones that charged it.
I dont think Reed will be doing this type of show in the future. Theyve fully alienated the audience, and this release just drives a nail in it.

It is easy to BAN something.(Soda, Guns, High Capacity Magazines, Ammo)
Enforcement is the Big Problem (remember Probation?) Will we end up with Boot Leg Guns & Ammo??
Will the Fed’s come and break down our doors, shoot our Dogs, Search & Seize our papers, computers, Guns, Ammo, Bibles & books all without a lawful warrant?
Then what? Will they come for you & your Wife and Kids?
Will they make you get on the Train for a ride to the work camp after they have taken ALL of your Money, Car, House and everything you have worked so very hard to get.
When will we wake up and Draw the line in the Sand and say No more, you will not pass this line. They will not break the 2nd Amendment, they will NOT TAKE MY GUNs.

It is unfortunate that in the current emotionally charged atmosphere this celebratory event has become overshadowed by a decision that directly affected a small percentage of more than 1,000 exhibits showcasing products and services for those interested in hunting and fishing.
Wrong. Here's what actually is unfortunate: some people still try to tell American citizens the Second Amendment doesn't mean exactly what it says.
What else would we have expected of English subjects?

Bastards and their weak-kneed political correctness
Let’s hope the show organizer who came up with this idea in the first place fails completely.

The emotionally charged atmosphere is due to the racist Chi-town thug in the WH and his gun grabbing Soros whores in the Sin-ate. AKA Lil Barry’s fault.

The gun grabbers have been trying to divide shooters into specific interest groups for decades, they need to be taught they will have to fight us all together.

I’ve heard that this frigging “Reed” company that organizes this event also does the Las Vegas SHOT show......the vendors who stood their ground here should put a nail in the coffin of this British company’s tenure here in this country. We don’t need a company from a country overrun by Muslims, Political Correctness, and government intrusion creating and managing 2A venues here in this country. BAN THEM FOREVER!

NSSF Statement on the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show January 24, 2013 We have just learned that Reed Exhibitions has decided to postpone the 2013 Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show. In the days following Reed Exhibitions announcement that modern sporting rifles would be prohibited from the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show, the leadership of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) has been in intense, frank discussions with Reed Exhibitions management in an effort to reverse this unacceptable decision. These discussions reached an impasse. NSSF is in no way affiliated with, nor does it participate in or exhibit at this show in any way. Reed Exhibitions does, however, manage the NSSF-owned SHOT Show (though Reed manages the SHOT Show, all SHOT Show decisions, policies and actions are made at NSSFs direction). Because of Reeds recent actions, NSSF is considering all options regarding the management of future SHOT Shows.
