CHARLOTTE, N.C.The Republican Party is looking for advice.
To kick off this week's Republican National Committee's winter strategy session, which will focus in part on how to broaden the party's appeal to women and minority voters, the RNC on Thursday launched a website soliciting ideas and constructive criticism about what the party did wrong in 2012and what it can do better over the next four years.
The site, which is part of its "Growth and Opportunity Project" created to analyze the last election, includes a wide-ranging survey seeking input on things such as whether Republicans should spend more or less time talking about the economy, national security, social issues or taxes. "Do you think the Republican Party shares your values?" it continues, after asking about demographics like race, age and gender. "Do you think the Republican Party listens to voters like you?"
The survey also asks about five areas where it needs improvement: "Diversity within the Party," "The Party's position on issues," "How the Party communicates with voters," "The process of selecting the best candidate" and "The Party's infrastructure and tactics used in campaigns."
Although Republicans dominated the 2010 midterm elections with gains in the House and Senate, Democrats retained control of the White House and Senate, and bolstered their minority in the House just two years later. President Barack Obama won 332 Electoral College votes and, perhaps more alarming for the GOP, enjoyed support from more than 70 percent of Hispanic and more than 95 percent of black voters.
Now, Republicans are keen to learn how to conduct better outreach to minorities and regain a foothold among a new pool of voters.

The GOP can pound sand.
They are the Judenrat of our generation, and they need to go the way of the Whigs.
Conservatives no longer belong there, because they will be sold out, betrayed and destroyed by the GOP Ruling Class whom do the dirty work for the MarxoFascists.
How about sticking up for the constitution with conviction and calling a traitor a traitor. Let the chips fall where they may, but keep in mind that traitors have only one punishment.
My suggestion to the Republican Party:
1. Have a national conference.
2. Procure that kool-aid that was used in Jamestown.
3. Drink liberally.
4. Will your sorry positions to folks with cojones.
5. Die unpeacefully.
“Laws making it illegal to charge women more than men for a haircut” seems to be moving up the charts with a bullet right now...
Nominate true conservatives. Don’t grovel at the feet of democrats. Realize that they play and fight dirty. Don’t let them trap you. Don’t let them set the terms of the debate. The media is not your friend. They will rip you to shreds every chance they get. Realize that media bots will go back in your life, back to the third grade to “get” something on you.
Golly fellow bubbas, them RE-publicans wanna know what we thank. Them are a bunch of swell guys in my book.
They’re not going to win by becoming democrats. Secure the borders! Defend life and family! Cut spending! Cut taxes! Cut government! Don’t wimp out!
"Yo! Frank! I got one that says we should support abortion!"
"Put that one up on the wall! That's a good one!"
At least the party should stay out of the 'anointing' process during the primaries. Let the rank and file choose the candidate, instead of the party backing a preferred candidate. And once a candidate is picked in the primary, back him to the hilt.
Advice?
Stop acting like moderate Democrats!
I am active in local politics and have met often with political strategists in the GOP. They are as much out of touch as the beltway GOP. We lost a very winnable State Senate race thanks to an inept “consultant.” The campaign was well financed and he got his money while costing the state of TEXAS dearly.
The State Senate candidate that won could none day destroy the GOP in TEXAS and should have been defeated.
I can give my recommendations till I am blue in the face and I will be ignored. If you don’t donate money or part of the in crowd you are blown off. Disgusting.
I would recommend that a good first step would be the resignation of each and every person on the RNC who has been there longer than 6 years, plus the resignation of anyone who had any part of the McCain or Romney Campaigns, or anyone who took money from a consulting firm doing business with either the RNC or the DNC within the last 12 years.
That oughta just about fill a phone booth.
Staff the open positions with Tea Party leaders and put Allen West in charge of the vetting committee.
They don’t want my help. They just want my money and my vote.
No more.
>> The Republican Party is looking for advice.
Nonsense! The GOP could care less about my advice. If they want advice, they’ll ask one of the “professional advisor” douchebags that “strategerized” for the McCain or Romney campaign losses.
...they DO, however, want my MONEY. They aren’t shy about that.
Republicans; ever fearful in the face of “Mrs.” Clinton, rather than question her honestly, rather kissed her ample rear profusely. Senator Johnson did give it a good old college try; but the “ruling class” circled the wagons and all but crowned her “Lord Hillary”. - If this were a Republican; we all know what would have happened, but the Republicans, ever gullible, and wanting to belong to the little “club” ran true to form. I’m sick of ‘em.
