Doctor probes teen on guns in the home

In pro-gun-regulation Illinois — where politicians would rather play gun control politics than fight the murderous street gangs — a young man was admitted to the hospital.

Sam Insley, 16, of Oak Lawn, wasn't admitted with a gun problem.

Sam had a tonsil problem.

"Yes, he's a big kid, but regardless of his age and stature, my husband and I were with him the entire time he was there."

Sam was admitted to Advocate Hope Children's Hospital in Oak Lawn on Jan 4. A resident and two medical students began jotting down notes for a routine medical history. At one point, Mrs. Insley said, they asked her to step out of the room.

"I felt uneasy, but I stepped out so my son wouldn't be embarrassed," she told me, saying she figured they would ask drug and alcohol questions. Sam doesn't take drugs or alcohol, she said

That’s a good time to call the Police, right there in the room, and tell them that the Doc made advances and inappropriately fondled my penis during what was supposed to be a simple tonsil exam.

It’s time to put fear into the fascists.

Wonder how long until,”If you vant treatment, you vill answer ze question!”.

Go ahead and answer no. Not only is it the right answer for you, but if you do have guns, it poisons their database. A database full of errors is of no use to them, because they have no idea which bits are true and which bits are not.

COMPLAIN TO THE HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATION. That's the only thing that will effect change.

Don't listen to these posters who suggest being a jerk to your doctor. Doctors deal with jerks in many ways and they may order a barium enema on you. At least I kind of hope they do.

Doctors are as helpless to deal with protocols from hospital administration as you are when you don't want to pay taxes.

That was only true till they passed it and we found out what was in it. Our Esteemed Leader, whose mere thoughts are so powerful they trump actual legislation, made clear in one of his 23 Imperial Orders the other day, that such was not the case.

Doctors that ask Marxist questions shaould have their professional liabiilty insurance tested in court. I would say it is negligent to spend valuable medical time on non medical private matters.

Why take this out on the doctor who is being coerced into asking the questions in the first place? The doctor you snarl at is a member of the NRA.

Take it out on the lawyers. They aren't being forced to do this with their crook clients and their corrupt connections with the Marxist state.

I NEVER leave the room when my kids are at the doctor’s office, and boy oh boy do they get cranky about it (the docs, I mean, not the kids).

It got so heated last time that the doc actually suggested that he’d have me removed from the room. This caused me to stand up from my chair and tower over him while I inquired as to exactly WHO was going to accomplish that feat. (I stand about 6 inches taller than him and I guarantee he wouldn’t be able to do it— and I’m a GIRL).

Anyway, my big boy won’t go back to the pediatrician anymore so now he goes to my husband’s doctor who never never never asks the stupid, intrusive, and utterly un-medical questions the ped. did. That doctor takes his pressure, listens to his chest, thumps on his back a couple of times, does the “turn your head and cough” routine, and tells him to get out and come back if something’s wrong. Just as it should be for a 16-year-old in perfect health.

Here’s what the pediatrician really wanted to do behind my back: 1. Ask about guns in the home and if he felt “safe” in his environment. 2. Do Mommy and Daddy spank you? 3. Give him condoms so he can have “safe sex.”

He implied that he wouldn’t be able to get the truth out of him if I was in the room. Not true, but let’s say my son DID have a secret. I have WAY more need to know it than any doctor. So if I’M not getting the straight scoop, then neither will HE.

I told the doc to stick to the medicine, and I told Billy that he was to ask the doc any question he might have. “Do you have a question about your penis, Bill? No? You understand where babies come from? Excellent!” Poor Billy; he was appalled, but rightfully placed the blame on the doc for not backing down immediately when I refused his “help.”

Those pediatricians are fine when the kids are little but they become menaces when they’re dealing with teens. And you know what? I don’t know ANY parent who thinks it’s a good idea for doctors to keep secrets from the child’s parents. How did these stupid laws get passed anyway?

Regards,

Any guns (ie gun owners) at your home? USA 2013
Any Jews at your home? Germany, 1938

The moral answer is no in all cases.

I believe that the MO legislature will be taking up a bill having to do with this...

IMHO, the only proper way to answer this question is “No, I don’t even like guns.” The last thing you want is to tell the truth on this sort of thing. Because if you say, “None of your damned business,” you’ll be flagged as a “bitter clinger.”

Mama Grizzly ......YAY for you!!! Sounds llke you have a good kid, too that he understands this cr@p aready. IMHO no parent should leave their minor kid alone with a doctor, especially now that they have a leftist agenda that they are ACTING on.

The only way out of this mess is first and foremost to stop the ‘indoctrination’ of kids in public school and do the ‘education’ of them ourselves. Can everyone homeschool (what I think is the answer) .... no, but folks need to get involved and get creative. Don’t turn the kids over to the government to indoctrinate for you. Next, we need to find a way to neutralize the “Enemedia”. I’m not sure how to do that other than speak the truth and repeat it endlessly and loudly, expose their lies/machinations, etc. If we can’t get the Enemedia neutralized, we’ll never have “decent, conservative” people running for public office because as soon as one crops up in this current environment, the Enemedia attacks & shreds them personally, professionally, and politically (Sarah, case in point) and renders them all but unelectable with our current crop of low-info, indoctrinated voters .... and there the circle returns to getting educated voters with values/morals, patriotic, conservative which will be our kids if we raise them that way.

All doctors are card carying members fo the NRA? Doctors have more than their fair share of Marxists among their ranks. Those that choose to pervert their profession to the benefit of Marxist rulers ougtht to be taken to task. Stop your whining.

Doctor: I was just following orders.

I heard that same explanation from the Nurenberg Trials.

(An apple a day keeps the doctor away...)
