Senate hearing: 9:00a.m. EST. House hearing: 2:00 p.m. EST
Watch live here. Also on C-SPAN 3.
In her first testimony since the Benghazi attack, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will participate in a full day of hearings Wednesday about U.S. diplomatic security and the American mission in Libya.
Sec. Clinton will appear before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in the morning followed by an afternoon testimony to the House Foreign Affairs Committee. In December, the State Department's highest ranking foreign service officers, William Burns and Thomas Nides, testified before Congressional lawmakers in the Secretary's place. They discussed a new report by an independent panel assessing the Benghazi attack.
Deputy Sec. Nides put several recommendations from a report on the attack into effect before the end of 2012. Implementing the rest, Nides said, will be underway by the time the next Secretary of State takes office. Three State Department officials have resigned since the report was released.
The two officials were substituting for Secretary Clinton, who was recovering from a concussion she suffered after fainting due to dehydration from a stomach virus.
Four Americans were killed in that attack, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens. Congress is investigating whether the State Department denied a request for extra security at that outpost earlier in the year and what actions were taken in the moments after the attack began.
Rep. Sherman slobbering over Cankles...Is this an SNL skit?
Chabat(R) used whole five minutes bloviating. Had some good questions which are now lost. What a doofus.
All I can take from this is, Hillery wants a do-over after her do-over.
Trying to read through the posts to find out what happened today and getting madder and madder and madder! I was going to try to find the hearing recorded somewhere tonight, but sounds like a gigantic waste of time.I didn’t expect anything from the useless senate, but it doesn’t sound like the house did much better from what I am hearing. Hillary walked right over all of them. Our country is doomed. Very pessimistic tonight about the rule of law in this country and the blatant tyranny going on from the ruling class.
Hillary’s free plastic surgery in exchange for covering for the King, compliments the King. Rice KNOWINGLY LIED on the Sunday news programs in exchange for a promotion to SoS, compliments the King. We have a frickin’ KING doling out gifts now, folks.. No surprise to most here, however. His biggest gifts during the last four years were free entitlements to voters in exchange for votes. Disgusting.
Sadly, there were only a few stars on our side today.
She got away clean, for the better part and we still have FOUR DEAD Americans, without proper answers from State or the Executive.
The lamestream are attacking Rand Paul, Dan Rohrbacher and others who dared to actually question her.
This country is lost, due to the corrupt news media which are supposed to be government watch dogs, not lapdogs and worse.
After watching the 1 hr. 30 min video posted by Jim, I’m convinced more than ever, that the news media have been infiltrated by card carrying Communists.
Keep praying. I miss you and love you.
Dana Rohrbacher. You know my typos...right?
