Senate hearing: 9:00a.m. EST. House hearing: 2:00 p.m. EST
Watch live here. Also on C-SPAN 3.
In her first testimony since the Benghazi attack, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will participate in a full day of hearings Wednesday about U.S. diplomatic security and the American mission in Libya.
Sec. Clinton will appear before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in the morning followed by an afternoon testimony to the House Foreign Affairs Committee. In December, the State Department's highest ranking foreign service officers, William Burns and Thomas Nides, testified before Congressional lawmakers in the Secretary's place. They discussed a new report by an independent panel assessing the Benghazi attack.
Deputy Sec. Nides put several recommendations from a report on the attack into effect before the end of 2012. Implementing the rest, Nides said, will be underway by the time the next Secretary of State takes office. Three State Department officials have resigned since the report was released.
The two officials were substituting for Secretary Clinton, who was recovering from a concussion she suffered after fainting due to dehydration from a stomach virus.
Four Americans were killed in that attack, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens. Congress is investigating whether the State Department denied a request for extra security at that outpost earlier in the year and what actions were taken in the moments after the attack began.

He could have been good if he just asked one question at a time and got some kind of answer. ONE QUESTION AT A TIME! It's okay. Hopefully some in the House are researching those questions for followup in this afternoon's session.

Yeah, but about the Turkey role she should have deniablility.
She’d be aware that Stevens was working on getting loose arms out of Libya but not of where they were going.

The problem with your idea is the very short time in which these individuals have to question Clinton.
Sen Paul needed to fire questions at her to get them on the record.

Did Rand Paul mix up Turkey and Syria? Hillary seemed shocked when he said Turkey. Perhaps she was ready with a response for a question about Syria.

she admits she’s clueless, she’s a victim of a hugh blobocracy yaknow of ‘responsible’ folks at State to read all the cables sent in and act appropriately.

The weapons were going to Turkey first and then into Syria from there.

Not just for you, but for all.
Military Scramble Order Overseas:
First, I've got over 26 years working in military control towers, most of them as the watch supervisor/crew chief on duty.
Scrambling aircraft to respond to urgent situations normally starts at the
North American Aerospace Defense Command.
The scramble order comes down through a secured phone call on a direct line.
In the attack on the U.S. embassy on Benghazi, the drone control would have been from
MacDill AFB, FL, by
U.S. Central Command, and would have been in direct contact, or maybe even remote control to the situation room in the White House.
Watch this 4 minute 48 second video
Inside the Situation Room.
The pResident SHOULD HAVE issued to order to scramble fighters to Benghazi, to get there in minimum time.
Then he SHOULD HAVE issued a second order scrambling AC-130 gunships to respond to Benghazi, and have them stand by for more orders.
This should have been controlled by the pResident, who should have monitored and responded with guidance from
his Situation Room,
staffed by men and women from the Department of Homeland Security, the intelligence community, and the military,
all of whom are committed to ensuring that the President of the United States is provided all the information and intelligence he needs to do his job.
