The rush on firearms will continue this weekend after thousands showed up to the Indiana State Fairgrounds for the Indy 1500 Gun and Knife Show.
The show opened Friday afternoon and thousands of people waited in line for nearly four hours to get in to the first gun show of the year in Indianapolis.
The show is the first held just days after the president announced his plan on combating gun violence.
Many gun owners fear the presidents plans, announced earlier this week, will ban certain firearms and restrict whats legal right now. Since the announcement, folks have been hitting the gun shops and now, the gun show, buying anything and everything firearms.
Im here because of the scarcity of some items ammunition and so forth. Im trying to get my hands on as much as I can at this point, said Brad Terry of Greenwood.

Its been 20 years since Ruby Ridge. Since then, we’ve had Waco, the WTC bombing, the 1994 gun ban, the Sore-Loserman episode, 9/11, a president without ID or verifiable history, Al Franken stealing an election, Obamacare jammed down our throats and the SCOTUS betrayal, Fast and Furious, the massive voter fraud of the 2012 election, and people are still buying guns and ammo??? I mean, its been obvious that our government is out of control and hell-bent on driving us to something Marxist and probably totalitarian for a very long time.
If people didn’t have a lifetime supply by Nov 6, they just weren’t paying attention and deserve to stand in a 4 hour line to be fleeced by people charging 3 or 4 times what the stuff is worth.
The vendors would need to have merchandise piled to the rafters in order for a four-hour wait to be worthwhile. Most attendees probably had to settle for a bag of beef jerky.
If I wait in line for four hours they better fill the back of my truck with gold bars and say “thanks for hauling it off.”
>>1st part: yeah, obvious!
Unfortunately, it hasn’t been obvious to most people until very recently. They always assumed that decent people would win, that elections would be fair, and that the economy could only get better (except for minor and short-lived dips into recession). Most of all, they assumed that government is flawed, but basically good, and run by good people. They ignored all the signs and laughed at the “conspiracy nuts” who “see a commie hiding around every corner”.
How many of these people standing in lines at the gun show have less than one week’s food in their home? Or less than 30 days worth of meds? As you say, supply and demand is a bitch...and she is about to become a stone-cold dominatrix bitch!
A four hour wait for $2500 Bushmasters, $100 pmags and $1.00 per round Wolf and Tula garbage.
People are afraid and “concerned” (ha ha), there’s a revolution coming. This is a fight for our life, the biggest since WWII. This one is worse, it’s internal and against our own government and some of our own brothers, sisters, neighbors and maybe even friends and family.
Seems to me that the left is winning. Danger Will Robinson, Danger.
You wouldn’t be seeing the Left going for all of the massive power grabs in such a short time if they thought they were winning. They’re desperate and short on time and need to close the deal on a global, collectivist, totalitarian world government ASAP.
Just wondering, are you on Kartographer’s ping list?
You have completely called it correct, sir!! If people haven't stocked up since The Pervert from Arkansas, what have they been doing?? I like all the new "I need a gun, I need a gun" people. Gee, why is everything so exspensive?
I sure hope so. I don't have that stuff (just some reloading stuff and a couple of lever actions), but have a table at next weeks gun show in Kingman, AZ. It would be nice to experience a spill-over effect.
I'll put it in here as well as elsewhere, this is what we in Arizona now face, courtesy of a state representative from the Phoenix area named Chad Campbell (D-14) (I have asked him to explain how any of these would prevent a Sandy Hook type of shooting):
HB 2376 would allow law enforcement officers, when contacting anyone possessing a firearm, to make a non-professional assessment of their mental state, and if, in their sole discretion, they determine that person may be a danger to themselves or others, seize their firearms, and request they undergo a court-ordered mental evaluation.
HB 2380 would abolish Constitutional Carry.
HB 2381 would arbitrarily classify virtually all semi-automatic pistols and rifles as assault weapons, and require that all transfers of these firearms be tightly controlled and only allowable via a licensed firearms dealer. Violators face a $10,000 fine and arrest.
Oh yeah, Comrade Campbell is a graduate of the appropriately-named Moon Valley High School.
the dealers are salivating at the prospect of forbidding private sales. It would drive all sales into commercial establishments.
'Fraid so. A variation of Capitalists selling the Communists the rope to hang 'em.
And another variation: "First they came for the Private Sellers, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Private Seller.
Then they came for the Classified Ad sellers, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Classified Ad seller.
Then they came for me . . .
dealers who think like that are stupid because they do not see the customer for life prospect.
How many will not oppose mandatory parts registration, id for ALL supply sales etc?
time to support 3d printer projects.
I hope you’re right Jack. I’m very pessimistic. I think we’re very close to a very big crunch point in America.
