I think he would be better off just shutting the house down until the senate presents a budget.

Its just another gimmick....they wont lose a thing...even if they do stop their pay temporally..they will be paid retroactively and probably with interest!

Boehner is lieing through his teeth.

The 27th only freezes COLA and raises. These clowns will continue to draw their pieces of silver from our tax money. They just will not see their raises kick in.

That is the way I read the 27th.

The ‘no pay’ part is a throwaway: it would be illegal to reduce congressional pay without an intervening election.
It’s just for show.

In fact I wish they wouldn’t include the matter even though it has political advantages.

Getting a budget from the Senate is the big thing.
