Not really. I've been shooting for thirty years and never once been to a gun show.
If this person had their CCW and was a first timer, how would he know to unload before getting to the gate?
They have signs posted everywhere. Outside before you get to the door. Every gun show I've been to has been this way over thirty years. But especially now.
First of all the attendee wasn't required to have a CCW because the weapon in question wasn't a handgun, it was a shotgun.
Second, the shotgun did not belong to the individual who brought it to the gun show, it belonged to someone else. He was likely taking it there on behalf of the friend who owned it to see what it was worth.
