RALEIGH, N.C. At least two people were injured Saturday afternoon in an apparent accidental shooting at the gun show being held at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds.
Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after 1 p.m., and two people were loaded into ambulances.
A witness told WRAL that a gun went off after being checked by an official at a safety check-in location, hitting a man in the hand and a woman in the side.
The Raleigh Fire Department confirmed that the Dixie Gun and Knife Show would be closed for the remainder of the day Saturday. There was no word on whether the show, which is held inside the Jim Graham Building, would continue Sunday.

Pray tell, what grievance do you have with my objecting to someone categorically declaring a person he doesn't know, at a gun show he didn't attend, "should have known" about a rule that he doesn't know was clearly posted, in a venue he's unfamiliar with, containing a crowd he doesn't know the size of? Do you have a problem with civilian CCW permit holders carrying their weapons anywhere it's legal to do so?
And since when do you dictate the rules on what "thise site" (sic) deals with? If you think speculation has no place here, you obviously are not a very active FReeper, despite your early sign-up.
Your conclusion that I'm "stirring up crap about something" and "admitted to knowing nothing about" is as asinine as the "can't comment on abortion if you're not a woman" or "can't criticize black culture if you're not black" shills. Or maybe you're just another "cop sucker" that objected to my opinion of the historic incompetence of LEOs with firearms?
I wonder.
