RE :”Xavier Bongibault, an atheist homosexual, is a prominent spokesman against the bill. “In France, marriage is not designed to protect the love between two people. French marriage is specifically designed to provide children with families,” he said in an interview. “[T]he most serious study done so far...demonstrates quite clearly that a child has trouble being raised by gay parents.”
Jean Marc, who has lived with a man for 20 years, insists, “The LGBT movement that speaks out in the media...They don’t speak for me. As a society we should not be encouraging this. It’s not biologically natural.”

Refreshingly honest assessment from M. Bongibault.

Heh. If we had more guys like willing to speak out, we wouldn't be losing so much ground to the left on this issue. As it stands, they've unfortunately brainwashed much of the public into thinking the "only" reason anyone would oppose gay marriage is they're Christian fundamentalists who intrepret the Bible literally and/or nasty bigots who "hate" gay people and WANT gays to suffer.

Personally, I don't know how anyone my age (I'm in my early 30s) can believe two guys having butt sex is a "civil right" that entitles them to call their clearly abnormal sex life a "marriage", but the media would have us believe tons of people are buying that BS. Impy's right, go back in time to even in the mid 90s when I was in H.S., and NOBODY believed that. We had a social studies teacher in H.S. who played devil's advocate about gays in the military during the Clinton era, and the class was overwhelming against when I grew up in the Chicago 'burbs.

I think a lot of gays probably actually realize in the back of their heads that promoting this crap will wreak havok to society, but simply don't care because their personal desire to have everyone "accept" their sexual needs comes first in their mind. I've even talked to many gays, including the ones FOR gay marriage, who have conceded that you CANNOT let anyone "in love" call their relationship a "marriage" and that we "have to draw the line somewhere" because society would break down if it was suddenly socially acceptable to marry your sister and so on.

The trouble with guys like this is they're probably AFRAID to speak out for the same reason so many blacks won't openly campaign against Obama, even if they vote against him. The guys are already ostracized as it is from the mainstream, exposing the truth about gay marriage will cause their "fellow gays" to viciously attack them and they feel that's the only friends they have.

This dude's not alone, though. Note what Rubert Everett, who's another openly gay liberal actor, recently admitted about the issue:

On gay adoption:
“I can’t think of anything worse than being brought up by two gay dads. For me, personally, the last thing I would like in the entire world would be to go through [that process] with my boyfriend and finding some grim couple in Ohio who are gluten-free and who you pay $75,000 to have your baby”

On gay marriage:
“Why do we want to get married in churches? I don't understand that, myself, personally…it's grotesque. It's just hideous. The wedding cake, the party, the champagne, the inevitable divorce two years later. It's just a waste of time in the heterosexual world, and in the homosexual world I find it personally beyond tragic that we want to ape this institution”
