Apparently many alternative news pundits and Sandy Hook conspiracy theorists are still fixated on the idea that a man named Christopher Rodia was the REAL owner of the black Honda Civic that has been identified as the car of Adam Lanza’s mother and which was found outside the Sandy Hook elementary school.
The basis for this erroneous belief is police scanner audio that was picked up from the morning of Dec. 14th and details Connecticut State Police response to the massacre.
I obtained the original audio files from Radioreference.com. I had to pay a small sum for the full files. I have listened to them, and it is pretty clear that it is rather unlikely that the aforementioned Christopher Rodia had anything to do with the Sandy Hook massacre, even if his name and DOB is mentioned in the audio. This doesn’t seem to dissuade the conspiracy nuts though. In fact, it just makes them even nuttier.
What so many of these nutty people have apparently missed is the fact that the audio files clearly contain police communications about MORE than just the Sandy Hook event.
In the audio streams there are several communications from Connecticut State police who are clearly not involved in the response to Sandy Hook and are just out there doing their ‘normal’ jobs of stopping people for no reason and catching speeding drivers.
The Connecticut State police scanner audio from the morning of Dec. 14th 2012, as provided by Radioreference.com, begins at 9.34am and lasts for one hour until 10.34am i.e. it begins at about the time Lanza is said to have entered the school and lasts for one hour.

Alright, this is really, in my opinion, the heart of the matter. Yes, he is seizing on the incident and using it for political cover for gun control. I doubt anyone on FR will dispute that.
Now, they’re still investigating Sandy Hook, and nobody knows what the full report will turn out to be. In the meantime, Americans on the whole accept the “official” story that we know, and they aren’t likely to be convinced of any conspiracy theory, at least not very quickly. It took decades, countless books, television specials, a publicized court case, hearings in the House of Representatives, and a major Hollywood motion picture before most of America was convinced that the Warren Report version of the JFK assassination was probably not the whole story. No conspiracy theory, even if it is successful, will catch on with the majority of the public very quickly.
So, if your goal is to stop Obama’s gun control agenda, which he is pushing right now and trying to accomplish quickly, then what is the point of pursuing conspiracy theories? Even if you were right, and could eventually find the evidence to convince a majority of the public, you will not be able to do so in time to stop Obama. In fact, in the short term, you’re probably being counterproductive to that goal, since your speculations can be used to tarnish right wing opposition to Obama’s proposals as the stuff of conspiracy theorists.
Basically, what I’m saying is, if we want to stop Obama, this may be the worst possible strategy to go about doing so. We should be focusing on stopping him whether the Sandy Hook story is 100% factual or 100% horsecrap, and our tactics shouldn’t depend on either one necessarily being the case, it should be completely irrelevant.

Do you think that a medical examiner, who performed an autopsy on a body, would not be able to tell the difference between a #4 shot and a .223 bullet? Or the difference between a rifle wound and a shotgun wound? Why is this even relevant when the scene was littered with .223 casings rather than spent shotgun shells, and there was a .223 rifle near the body, while the shotgun was locked in the trunk?

I think there are a couple of Obots working that angle here, I have noticed a few suspicious characters with 2012 sign up dates that seem to fit the profile. Most people aren’t trolling though, they are legitimate right wingers.
There’s always been a bit of healthy skepticism of the government and conspiracy theorizing on FR going back to the Clinton years with the “black helicopters” and FEMA camps. I don’t mind it, even when I think some of it is kooky, because mostly it is harmless, and some of it might be closer to the truth than you think. However, in this case, it’s dangerous, because we all run the risk of looking worse than the 9/11 truth nuts, and it is a distraction at a crucial time when we probably should be focusing on other things.

Ok, but can you at least understand that some of us haven’t given up yet, and want to try to stop him, even if it is futile? If we are going to do that, it doesn’t help us at all to have people distracting conservatives with conspiracy theories that go nowhere and accomplish nothing. How about at least holding off on the wild speculations until after we either win or lose this battle? Is that too much to ask?

It is too much to ask because I believe in looking at evidence and seeing where it leads.
I can’t even begin to count how many posters on this site REFUSED to understand English Law as it pertains to Obama’s British Citizenship.
The law right in front of them and they continued on. I was the first to bring that fight to FR because I do believe you should look at the info that is available and not just the info that fits your agenda.
So for example, the people who claim that Sandy Hook was a hoax point to time stamps. Instead of going “LA LA LA NUTTER NUTTER NUTTER” people should be figuring out why info had those time stamps. It is also a way of debunking the argument.
Same with the photo. She has no apparent legs. Is it photoshopped. People who are good at that thing should see if it is and see when it was released. It may be a disinformation tool or it might not be

Alright, but my point is, the usual time that such statements are made is AFTER the investigation is completed, and the report is released to the public. People do not want to wait for that information, they want to attack the “cover up” right now, I suppose because Obama is pushing for gun control quickly. However, it’s not a cover up at all to save such information for the official report, it’s a pretty normal state of affairs.
Now, I understand you want to know right now what caliber weapon was used, because of the special circumstances. So, go ask the police department, and explain to them why it is so crucial that they clear up the matter of the weapon, and who knows? Maybe they will give you an answer, and you can share it with the rest of us. If you’re not willing to do that, then I can only conclude that you care more about trumpeting a conspiracy theory than you do about finding out the truth.

The truth about Sandy Hook doesn’t matter, because regardless of what the truth is it still won’t validate the gun grabbers arguments because none of their proposals will prevent another one.

It is not an AR or a Bushmaster or any other kind of rifle — but a shotgun.
And 90% of the people in this country including probably most of the kids in Sandy Hook school would probably know the difference.
