I started the search for a job to leave NY to night. I am just tired of fighting these SOBs. The state RNC is little better than the dems. They couldn’t field a real candidate if their lives depended on it. They fold at the slightest sign of pressure. My disgust for this state grows day by day.
The gun control fiasco was the last straw. I’m done here in spirit and looking for a new place to call home.
The word I’m hearing now is that a midnight vote is planned on this in NY (according to SCOPE - Shooter’s Committee on Political Education). Believe me - there are A LOT of New Yorkers who have been calling, writing, faxing & emailing everyone they can think of in NYS politics over the past 2 weeks to make our voices heard (including a good number of us who live behind enemy lines - meaning downstate, particularly Long Island). If you don’t live here, you can’t begin to understand the frustration we’re feeling right now. We put up with a lot already, living in New York. And for many of us, this is the last straw - we’re actively seeking to get out of this hellhole, even if it means leaving family & roots behind, and taking a significant cut in pay. Go to the first solidly or strong leaning conservative state you can get a job in. NY is enemy territory.
Come to Florida. No state income tax and the best gun laws outside of Vermont and Alaska in the nation. They call us the Gun-shine State for a reason. Better weather here too.
