"Of all the armed services, the Marines command the most respect from me. This Marine exemplifies what is right with them."

I don't respect any man that served the Usurper.

The Marine served HIS COUNTRY for eight years.

He did not SERVE the Usurper. Only Dictators, Emperors, Kings and Pharaohs are “served”.

Me thinks you should rethink the content of your Post.

I do not know about how the Marines are sworn in but my oath was to uphold the Constitution, and not to any pResident. The CIC is just one link in the chain of command, and EVERY link in that chain can be changed.

You, Sir, are an idiot! He serves the Constitution, not the person in the white hut. His oath is to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign or domestic.

Godebert: “I don't respect any man that served the Usurper.”

Marines do not serve the President, we serve the Country and the Constitution.

What branch of service were you in, sir?

None, I suspect.

Well then, you’re a contemptible moron and should go to DU.

If you’re thinking that I’m out of line for saying such an insulting thing, consider that I froze my butt off and worked a lot of hard and sometimes dangerous hours to protect this nation while William Jefferson Clinton was the CINC. I was not serving Slick Willie, I was serving the United States of America. I suspect that Corporal Boston was doing the same.

So, in other words, shut your ignorant piehole and show some respect for a young Marine who was willing to take a bullet for your country.

I don't respect any man that served the Usurper.

Then try serving God and a Constitution that protects the rights and liberties He gave you!

What if all the patriotic men and women had left the respective services starting with when Clinton began defiling our country?

Even if they toughed it out until the usurper defrauded his way into power, what would have happened?

Just a guess on my part, but I’d say both those anti-American skanks would have been delighted to have our military reduced to a skeleton force that would be laughed at by our foreign enemies but who would be thugs who would love to follow ANY orders given by our domestic enemies—especially if turned loose to wreak havoc on us one dissenting group at a time.

I don't respect any man that served the Usurper.

“We the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, with so little, for so long, weare now qualified to do anything, with nothing.”

#1 We don't serve anybody but We the People. Luckily for the other 312 million Americans we don't give a rat's ass about your "respect." The oath is to the Constitution of the United States, not to POTUS.

A few short years ago I could run faster than a 6 min mile and could hike with 120lbs of gear on my back. Now, after four combat tours I have shrapnel in my chest, a broken vertebrae, several bulged discs, severe degeneration, arthritis, bad hips, bad knees, and bad ankles and a blown shoulder; I struggle to do basic things like walk through a grocery store, or up the stairs in my house - standing to make dinner or do the dishes is a chore. Even getting down to hug my children causes intense pain.

But for the Grace of God go I and I count myself fortunate and Blessed, as many of the other young men I knew and served with didn't make it back - as a grown man I now cry every time I hear "Taps" or "amazing Grace" on the bagpipes.

When they do the POW/MIA-KIA ceremony it isn't just nice words spoken and a pretty poem. They revere and hold high our fallen; my friends. I remember their laughter. I remember the goodness of their heart. I remember their camaraderie. Their triumphs and their passing. I know what it is like to be washed in my buddies' blood - to see them put their fellow Marine above their own lives. "Respect?" You know not the meaning of the word.

We didn't volunteer because of any man or any President. Our job, our duty, our commitment to the American people does not end because of who is elected. We do it for the principles this country was founded on; we do it for our families and for millions that will never truly know the price or sweetness of freedom, but they may have it just the same. I say to you if we don't tow the line, who will?

You can take your idea of "respect" and stick it where the sun don't shine and kiss my white ass.

The men of our armed forces swear allegiance to the Constitution, not any person or party.

He’s a Marine, serving his Country, and by this letter, he shows he understands what is to be an American.

For that alone, he gets respect.

Grow up.

“I don’t respect any man that served the Usurper.”

The members of the military, as far as I understand it, do not serve the Commander in Chief; they serve the people of the United States, their country. This isn’t North Korea.

I salute him for speaking out. It took courage. Which the members of the U.S. military have in spades. :)

I figure he didn’t serve the Usurper. Rather, he served the country, and the country failed him by preventing a Usurpation.

Even in WWII, honorable men served under the Socialist Roosevelt.
