Doctors treating Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton revealed yesterday that she had a life-threatening blood clot near her brain.
The disturbing news came as a clearly anguished Chelsea Clinton visited her mom’s bedside along with her dad, former President Bill Clinton, whose concern was etched on his face as he left New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Forgive my ignorance, but are not oncologists doctors who specialize in treatments for -cancer- ??

The most common brain cancer/tumor, is a glioblastoma multiforme, almost always fatal. I believe this is what killed Ted Kennedy. A very large percentage of these tumors, first present and are treated originally as a stroke or blood clot. The site of the assault is many times clouded by the stroke and has to clear before further confirmation of cancer.
Obama keeps most of his history, including medical (such as the large scar on his head) secret. So did Grover Cleveland, FDR, JFK... It is not unusual.

Oncologists are the experts in blood thinners and would be brought on to help dissolve the clot after it was diagnosed.

I followed the links around that link you posted. It seems a Falcon 900 made an emergency landing in Ahvaz, but I didn’t find any reference to the US government, or the military operating any of these aircraft. It was enroute from the United Emirates to somewhere else, and Qatar operates Falcon 900s privately and the United Emirates operates these aircraft in their military.
Our Secretary of State would likely be flying a Gulfstream or something, so, I think that airplane crash story is false.
