For output per watt can’t beat LEDs problem is they’re expensive.


The price will come down. What concerns me is it won’t be low enough. I live in an area that is so bad people joke about the power failures. Our problem is “power failures” means surge-flicker-flicker-flicker-SURGE-off or some variaton that blows our electronic circuits sooner or later.

Since LED lights will have circuitry in ‘em (at the very least step-down to 5VDC) I’d be replacing them after a few power “outages.”

Yea power interru[tions that is a problem but its also the same with CFLs...
