There are too many metaphors here applicable to the Senates 89-8 passage of a fiscal cliff bill in the middle of the night (around 2 a.m. this morning).
The bill raised taxes by over $600 billion, in addition to Obamacare taxes already coming on line, yet the Senators can claim it was a massive tax cut because the vote took place after midnight, so technically the Bush tax cuts already had expired.

Hope the house gives the senate a big F/U and don’t pass it.
People don’t need to complain about throwing away your vote on third party candidates. They have this backwards. If you vote Republican you’re throwing away your vote.
Stop spending. It is really that simple. These bums who vote for this sort of thing should be in prison.
The more we vote for what they give us, the more liberal they get.

Article 1 - The Legislative Branch
Section 7 - Revenue Bills, Legislative Process, Presidential Veto
All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.
Thank you.
You are welcome
This Congress is so screwed up
It is beyond comprehension
“Hope the house gives the senate a big F/U and dont pass it.”
I think the Senate had only 8 “NAYS” - all Republicans - so if the Demoncrats liked it ya’ know it’s evil.
House will reject - Bohner will cry.
It seems “the most deliberative body” is also the most compliant and pandering so the said: Me First.
Indee hope the house has the stones to block it.
The whole congress..all of them...must be replaced with grown up, sane Americans. Those people are pathetic.
Every Republican Senator should have voted No. I am so upset with one of my senators, cannot believe he voted yes. Jeff Sessions!
Americans are solely to blame.
I am so frustrated with the whole sham I could spit.
Just read on Politico some comments by people who think we have a revenue problem not a spending problem. Evidently they swallowed the whole punchbowl of “Obama-koolaid”
America should go bankrupt. Maybe it’ll wake up the idiots. (I doubt it but one can hope)
I wrote Sessions a letter a couple weeks ago and apparently I’ll be getting the “I’m the wise statesman who’ll go along to get along” bs letter.
I think Sessions has been in office long enough
