ED SCHULTZ, MSNBC: "If I could just put it this way: the White House is taking the Republicans to the cleaners in negotiation on this. This is a huge win for the White House, if they can get the votes on this. And that's why Schumer is coming out, saying that there's going to be strong Democratic support here. This is a big win for the Democrats, no question about it. A big win for America. This underscores the vote on November 6th, there's no question about it."

I typically don’t open threads with “Ed Schultz” in the title... because the guy spews hate and is generally disgusting. Not even sure why he would be given the time of day on FR.
I believe Boehner is probably 1/4 of the problem if that much. If the Reps vote this crap through I have a harder time blaming John.
Because if we close our eyes to what the enemy is feeding the American people, we have no way of combatting it and end up with another Election 2012.
Someone has managed to make the republicans be the problem with all that has happened and not the majority party of the last six years. While I agree with you about other republicans and this bill and many others, the other problem is lack of educating the American people on a daily basis just who is and who has been in control the last six years.
The House needs a leader who is articulate and able to combat the leftist propaganda.
Winning the House in 2014. That's what it's all about. Their goal is and has been to blame anything republican controlled for everything that goes wrong in this nation and after they win the House in 2014 (which is their goal) they will continue to blame whatever else republicans control even if it's the Office of Dog Catcher.
Democrats play to win.
“Because if we close our eyes to what the enemy is feeding the American people, we have no way of combatting it and end up with another Election 2012.”
The guy has an audience of like a half a dozen wingnuts.
The problem is conservatives supporting a liberal agenda not Fat Ed.
He is going to be hated by one group or another,
Now just as I predicted when plan B failed, Bohner will put up the Senate-O bill and pass it with Dem votes, the Republicans in safe gerry-manded R districts will vote their traditional safe symbolic no's(they wont run for Speaker), the remaining House Rs will be in a bad situation lose-lose. House Dems will be in a win-win.
The guy I really dont like is McConnell, that windbag bragged that it was his #1 job to keep O from being re-elected, and he failed, typical for the 'symbolic' party.
Love hate comes with leadership. That is why very few want it, take it and are willing to live with it. :)
The opposition is not only "Ed Schultz" but Hollywood, most of the MSM and everybody else who helped to elect Obama to a second term and succeeeded. Very powerful half a dozen wingnuts, if you ask me.
In this case on taxes Republicans boxed themselves into a certain losing position. They accepted the terminology that a tax cut extension like the one that will pass tonight was a tax increase, terminology that Dems were happy to use to trap them.
So they ended up opposing a tax cut by calling it a tax increase, even though they (most) knew they would be blamed for the tax increase if nothing was signed into law. They had to make believe that taxes would not go up automatically, a sure losing position.
Many times last year I posted here that if O wins the election he will not give in on the upper tax rates. He had no reason to, public opinion was with him and he had no more elections to worry about.
I said they should have passed the partial tax cut extension weeks ago and moved on to the next fight. I warned that dragging out this fight over nothing would do nothing to help them(Rs) and will only help O.
I dread the ‘immigration reform’ fight. Thank goodness there is no immigration cliff deadline.
