The British have responded to a petition calling for the deportation from the United States of CNN host Piers Morgan with one of their own: Stop Piers Morgan from being deported back to the UK from America.
The counter-petition, addressed to Theresa May, Home Secretary, is a direct response to the 70,000 Americans who have signed a petition calling for Mr. Morgan to be deported from the United States because of his strong gun-control views.
The UK petition, posted on change.org reads as follows:
We got rid of him [Piers Morgan] once and why should we have to suffer again. The Americans wanted him, so they should put up with him. We washed our hands of him a long time ago.
Infowars.com reports that British television personality Jeremy Clarkson has also weighed in on the controversy, tweeting:
Americans. It took us 40 years to get rid of Piers Morgan. Please dont send him back.
Morgan has always been an advocate of stricter gun laws but since the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Conn., the debate over the 2nd Amendment has heated up, along with the hosts rhetoric.
On his Dec. 18 show, "Piers Morgan Tonight," CNN's Piers Morgan berated and insulted guest Larry Pratt, the executive director of Gun Owners of America. In his criticism of Pratt and Pratt's defense of the 2nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, Morgan said, among other things, "You are talking complete and utter nonsense. ... You're an unbelievable stupid man, aren't you? ... You are a dangerous man espousing dangerous nonsense. You shame your country."
Just take away his armed security, and the problem will go away.
How about this for a compromise, the Brits take him back, but only allow him to stay on St. Helena or the Falkland Islands. Both in the South Atlantic...
The only people willing to take Piers Morgan is an island of cannibals.
“Why is CNN so stuck on stupid?”
I would reply.....”The whole world wonders.”
Actually, although CNN isn’t going to listen to conservatives, we need to be targeting CNN and demand his removal. Of course, that isn’t going to happen.
Whatever, the only way to shut up a fool like Morgan, is to deny him a forum. Especially a paid one!
[BERMUDA IT IS THEN!]
They have tourism to think about.
Michael Savage is banned from entering Britain.
For the record, we don’t want him in Canada either. He wouldn’t like it anyway - we’re getting rid of our long-gun registration as an complete failure and waste of money.
Sounds like he is soon to be a man without a country.
I often felt the same way about Christopher Hitchens.
