A newspaper in New York has received a wave of criticism from its readers after publishing the names and addresses of all of the individuals with handgun or pistol permits in its coverage area.
Hundreds of residents in New Yorks Westchester and Rockland counties were surprised to find their names and addresses listed on a map posted by The Journal News on Sunday. Users can click any dot on the map to see which of their neighbors has a permit for a gun.
The map sparked more than 500 comments from readers within a day of its appearance on the website, many of them voicing outrage at the papers decision to make the information public.
This is CRAZY!! why in the world would you post every licensed gun owner information?? What do you hope to accomplish by doing this. This is the type of thing you do for sex offenders not law abiding gun owners. What next? should i hang a flag outside my house that says I own a gun? I am canceling my subscription with your paper today!!! said commenter Curtis Maenza.

....who knows what Odungo has done through executive orders (over 920) as far as privacy. There is no protection from the little boy king or his band of radicals in the administration.

Let’s hope that criminal of all stripes, burglars, home invaders, carjackers and rapists all read that article.
Then those lucky folks won’t have to worry about criminals coming into their homes or around their property anymore.
Too bad for their neighbors, though.
Two ways to deal with this: publish the names and addresses, home phone, emails etc of every person who works at that newspaper and hand them out freely at town shopping areas and malls.
Two: publish the addresses of all the homes that are gun freezones with no weapons permist and post those at area convenience stores

It is damn near next to impossible to obtain a pistol permit in New York City. Who does this Dwight Worley know to be able to get a permit? Someone needs to pull his pistol permit application and find out. There is no way that a two-bit journalist for The Urinal News would qualify for a license in NYC.
Now, I’d bet she wish she had a permit and was on the permit list. You never know who might want to pay her an unexpected visit. So, now she can think of of the new friends she’s made; gun owners, legal and otherwise. I would suggest that patriots in the area picket her house and put the show up on you- tube.
I would like to see a little protest or demonstration at her house. Put it up on you-tube and it will go viral.
I don’t know why these Lefties don’t see this coming.
I did a search before posting. Is there something wrong with the search engine or is there another title for the article?
Same exact title for both articles.
See here: www.freerepublic.com/focus/search?s=publishes&ok=Search&q=quick&m=any&o=time
Notice that the search is for just the word publishes, and is based on order by post time, not order by relevance. Note also that the search shows another post on this topic.
Paste up posters with Hasson’s and Worley’s name, address and phone numbers in the heart of near-by inner-city neighborhoods. I’m sure they’ll find a lot of folks who’ll be happy to drop by and wish them a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Nice house Janet. A Zestimate of $1.3 million. Sounds like a one-percenter to me.

What is not to like?
How the heck did the newspaper get this information in the first place?
The map indicates the addresses of all pistol permit holders in Westchester and Rockland counties. Each dot represents an individual permit holder licensed to own a handgun a pistol or revolver. The data does not include owners of long guns rifles or shotguns which can be purchased without a permit. Being included in this map does not mean the individual at a specific location owns a weapon, just that they are licensed to do so.
Data for all permit categories, unrestricted carry, premises, business, employment, target and hunting, is included, but permit information is not available on an individual basis.
To create the map, The Journal News submitted Freedom of Information requests for the names and addresses of all pistol permit holders in Westchester, Rockland and Putnam. By state law, the information is public record.
Putnam is still putting together its records and could not immediately provide any data. The map will be updated when that data is released.
Wow! How long did that take! How many cooperative state employees devoted hours or weeks to collecting the data for the newspaper? Or did it just take a few clicks on computer keys for such a list to be accessed?
The answer is simple -intimidation"
Did you notice that the leadership of the newspaper was all female? Is there any doubt they are feminists? It's in masculine nature to protect women and children. Feminists, progressives, deny any difference between men and women. This incident is in part an attack on men. Just as single women in this country turn to the government for protection and vote Democrat. Married women turn to their man for protection and vote Republican to defend the interests of their family.
These newspaper women essentially want to get rid of men and turn to government for protection, therefore men with guns are the problem.
