Dentist had the hots for his dental assistant. His wife finds out about it and the dental assistant is fired.
"Dr. Knight acknowledges he once told Nelson that if she saw his pants bulging, she would know her clothing was too revealing," the justices wrote.
"Nelson recalled one text she received from her boss asking "how often she experienced an orgasm."
Poor gal. I think I might be able to find a position for her.

How is this NOT sexual harassment? This woman needs a better legal representation than what she has now.
Dr. Knight's mother raised a pig, not a man. Nelson is lucky to escape from that situation before she was assaulted.
What if he pulled out the wrong drill and then filled the wrong cavity? Hmmmmmmm
Happens to me all the time.
I haven’t worked in 3 years. Although the fact that’s how long I’ve been retired may have a little to do with it.
OTOH, if she's good at her job, there ought to be other positions available for her to find.
Or maybe she should look for a woman dentist next time for a boss.

Wonder what he does to his “irresistible” patients.
Ewww.
In other stories it appears that they were sending inappropriate texts back and forth, though both claimed there was no inappropriate physical contact.
I’m probably pretty much alone in this, but I’m with the dentist and his wife on this.
Once inappropriate emotions had developed, which it seems pretty clear they had, at least on his part, it became a really poor idea for the two to keep working together as closely as is required for the position. The wife was quite right to be concerned.
The dentist obviously could have handled the dismissal, and he would have been well advised to spend what he eventually spent on his attorneys as severance.
I suppose the dentist could have recommended her to a colleague who was looking for an assistant. Maybe she said she didn’t want that, I dunno. If he was getting sexually hung-up over her and especially since there was a wife in the picture, then it was wisest that they part company.
A dental assistant I have met looks like a twenty something
year old version of Janine Turner. Mrs Dentist would have had
her canned year ago.
This dentist is an arrogant SOB who sexually harassed a married woman with kids, the husband should of beat his soul right out of him when the dentist said he would end up having an affair with his wife, this SOB thinks he can have any woman he pleases, even if they are married, what an arrogant piece of filth!
What a load of crap. Seems there was much more going on here. She allegedly is discussing her sex life with her boss. He obviously is fantasizing about her and outwardly says so. He flirts with her and makes suggestive remarks to her. His wife must have been jealous of the assistant. So they decided based upon their own insecurities and projections that the assistant had to go. In my views, scrubs are not all that revealing unless the assistant was buying them a size or two too small and there is no indication of this in the article.
So, if the court says it “was clear...terminating her was not related to the fact she was a woman”, then how could she be viewed as a threat? What kind of threat? If the assistant had been a man, wouldn’t he also be a threat to the dentist’s marriage since the dentist’s wife worked there? If these really were “religious and moral” people as the article suggests, then why didn’t the dentist and his wife sit down with the assistant and explain his/their situation and concerns and then help her to find another position [even if it took a reasonable amount of time] instead of canning her with a paltry 30 days severance. Seems to me the pastor’s advice apparently wasn’t all that well thought out either. But, all this is subjective conjecture on my part since I do not have the salient and specific facts.
If her behavior and dress were not appropriate then that is a totally normal reason to fire her. These headlines are ridiculous yellow journalism.
A burkha in her wardrobe would fix that.
it’s called unprofessional behavior.
Refusing to dress modestly, talking to people at an inappropriate distance are two things that come to mind.
I heard all kind of stories about dental offices and my take away was...there is usually 1 male dentist and the rest of the staff is female. If the dentist's wife isn't there every day running the office, the competition amongst the females is fierce. The young attractive ones have to be careful of the older staff because they will do anything to protect their seniority. If the dentist starts paying too much attention to some young nubile assistant...she will be driven out of the practice by her jealous colleagues. And they can be brutal.
The dentist may think it's his practice, but, without question, the women run it.
