After working as a dental assistant for ten years, Melissa Nelson was fired for being too "irresistible" and a "threat" to her employer's marriage.
"I think it is completely wrong," Nelson said. "I think it is sending a message that men can do whatever they want in the work force."
On Friday, the all-male Iowa State Supreme Court ruled that James Knight, Nelson's boss, was within his legal rights when he fired her, affirming the decision of a lower court.
"We do think the Iowa Supreme Court got it completely right," said Stuart Cochrane, an attorney for James Knight. "Our position has always been Mrs. Nelson was never terminated because of her gender, she was terminated because of concerns her behavior was not appropriate in the workplace. She's an attractive lady. Dr. Knight found her behavior and dress to be inappropriate."

Exactly. The feminists have introduced draconian dress codes for women throughout society. In my workplace, the women all wear loose fitting black clothes, and are indistinguishable from men. It would be easier to get an erection looking at a trash can.
Women and men have not always acted the same at work as they do with sluty internet friends, democrat party convention or at the local bar. It’s called professionalism and class.
Her first clue of problems is when he started interacting her as if she were a sexual object of porn. She did not have enough class to have the alarm bells ring when he starts yapping about the buldge in his pants with a female employee? Did she think an employer treating her like a slut was normal? What did she say to him when he treated her like that? Does she think being seen and treated as a slut by a married man or employer is a compliment?
If an employer was interacting with me like I am an a sexual object, I would get a different job and sue. I don’t interact with men like I am a slut. They don’t treat me like a slut, either. Sex is private. My flirt factor interacts with my husband. No one else shares it.
At one time employers hired people based upon the content of the character and how they presented themselves...not their anti-social edgy attention whore values.
The current culture of mainstreaming porn and sluthood (this has been done to accomodate homosexuality) in the heterosexual female public personna is going to lead to the oppression of women...and/or men. Women modeling their behavior after Paris Hilton will result in demeaning and unprofessional sexual interaction. It’s sexually aggressive.
When a society loses it morals, dignity and social grace, women WILL end up being oppressed. Sluts are not much respected in a porn driven, celebrity society.
American women are seen as a herd of objects for immediate sexual gratification, lacking in dignity and respect. We had a president who referred to the single female voting bloc as sluts and they did not object.

The ruling smells of sharia law. Can’t have women showing their faces or ankles because men can’t control their mohammeds.

Unless Mr. Wimp counseled her on her “inappropriate dress” and made record of it this gal will win a lawsuit if she gets a halfway decent attorney. When an employer tells a female employee that she makes him get a bulge in his pants, it’s time for his arrogant ass to called on the carpet one way or the other. She should have told her husband, and he should have told Dr. Romero exactly what he would do to him if he kept up his filthy mouth to his wife. That the gal in question didn’t have the sense to pursue it is her problem. Now that she’ll be on every talk show in America, including Fox, she’ll get her chance. And this creep even asked her in an email about orgasms. If he had any sense, and she was a good dental assistant, he could have recommended to one of his overpaid yuppie buddies that they hire her. End of story. Now if we don’t see her on any talk shows that means there was a hell of alot more to it than the press is reporting.

Taking about his bulging pants and orgasms does not sound like a “very religious and moral individual”.
Oh, nonsense.
Nobody is telling her what to wear.
The dentist decides, or probably more accurately his wife did, that the assistant couldn’t work there any more because the attraction to her was a threat to their marriage.
The dentist made a serious mistake when he tried to make it about her rather than him. It was his fault they had to part, and he shouldn’t have tried to displace responsibility onto her.
But that doesn’t change that this dynamic of barely repressed sexual attraction is not one that is healthy or productive, particularly in a small office.
Irresistible is a very strong word.
One of our local dentists was attacked with a shotgun by his spouse over his “issues”. He was a solid church-goer, too.
Going to church no more makes you a Christian than going to the zoo makes you an exotic animal.
