David Gregory mocked the NRA's Wayne LaPierre for proposing that armed guards be at every school in America. But the NBC host seems to have no problem with armed guards protecting his kids everyday where they attend school in Washington, D.C.
-snip-
The Gregory children go to school with the children of President Barack Obama, according to the Washington Post. That school is the co-ed Quaker school Sidwell Friends.
According to a scan of the school's online faculty-staff directory, Sidwell has a security department made up of at least 11 people. Many of those are police officers, who are presumably armed.

Wait a minute, federally funded armed guards are good if they are recommended by Clinton, but a Neanderthal idea if proposed by the NRA? So the content of the information isn't what makes something good or bad, it is who says the information.
More people need to know that what Wayne LaPierre suggested is what some beloved Democratic party leaders have suggested. What people also need to know is that truth doesn't matter, protecting our children doesn't matter, what matters to the left is gotcha politics.
America is going to get a symbolic solution that will produce no meaningful results because nothing else is possible without cooperation b all sides on the issue.
Sooooo tagable...
The solution is allow concealed carry at schools. That would not cost the tax payer much and would be very effective.
Flashback: Clinton Requests $60 Million to Put Cops in Schools
100% true too! ;-)
It appears that liberals would prefer more children to be endangered than to do something as unthinkable as actually agree with the bloodthirsty, evil NRA.
The real advantage of the concealed carry option is that until its pulled, no one knows who has one.
Armed guards can be spotted, distracted, eliminated, or just worked around. If the bad guys don't know who has what, planning one of their murderous escapades becomes much more difficult and problematical.
Even schools where no one carries will still benefit.
I’m sorry I missed the exchange between Gregory and Wayne LaPierre on Meet the Press. I’m in the process of moving into a new house and trying to get ready for the holidays, so I didn’t check FR until late today, AFTER my oldest daughter ran into Gregory in the Charlotte airport. She said a lot of passengers were fawning over the guy; if I had known about his comments to Mr. LaPierre, I would have told her to ask Gregory about the armed guards at the private school attended by his children. She thinks Gregory is an ass and would have no problem embarrassing him in front of his “admirers.”
One more thing: that eleven member security team at Sidwell Friends is just the tip of the iceberg. With Obama’s daughters enrolled, there is a continuous Secret Service presence as well, and I’m guessing tax dollars have been spent to upgrade school security, just as the agency makes modifications at the homes of former presidents who still receive protection.
It’s also rather interesting that Gregory’s wife is a former general counsel for Fannie Mae who resigned from the organization after it imploded in 2008. Naturally, she was never sanctioned or faced criminal charges, and quickly became a partner at a major NYC law firm.
My daughter also found it curious that Mr. Gregory was on a flight to Lexington, KY today, traveling by himself. No family in tow, and no camera crew in tow. I wasn’t aware of any breaking news out of Lexington today, certainly nothing that would require the presence of an NBC News star. I also can’t find anything in Gregory’s bio (or his wife’s) that mentions any ties to the Commonwealth. Perhaps some KY FReepers can do a little digging.
A typical hypocritical ass. I hope whoever he has on next week finds a way to work that little factoid into the conversation.
He should have been armed with the ammo against the elites sending their kids to armed and guarded schools.
In fact, this needs to be put out there in every interview and publication.
