Yes, many birth control pills in fact do not prevent conception. They merely prevent the fertilized egg from implanting in the uterus. That is why the Catholic Church is against birth control pills.

The Catholic Church is against birth control because it decreases the numbers of Catholics. The church is not opposed to the temp method which is by any other name....BIRTH CONTROL.
The birth control pill is just much more convenient and does the same thing....prevents pregnancy.

The Catholic Church is against birth control pills because they have a religious objection to birth control. They are against condoms as well, and condoms have nothing to do with abortion.

I don't know which pill does which, but my understanding of the Pill is that it prevents the woman from even releasing her monthly egg.
So there is no egg released, no fertilized egg that doesn't attach, no death of an embryo.
