Fox News commentator Steven Crowder has filed a complaint with the Michigan State Police in relation to an assault he sustained by a pro-union protester while attending a demonstration outside Michigans state capitol on December, 11. The protesters were demonstrating against the state legislature’s efforts to pass right to work laws in the heavily unionized state. Crowder joined the protests in support of those controversial laws.
The Washington Posts Erik Wemple spoke with Richard Hale, the shift supervisor at the Lansing post of the Michigan State Police, who confirmed that Crowder has begun the process of filing a criminal complaint:
By calling in, hes in essence filed a complaint. Hes initiated the process for the filing of a criminal complaint, Hale told Wemple.
Since the incident, Crowder says that he has legitimate fears for his safety as he is receiving disturbing threats on a regular basis.
Crowder recently tweeted that he has engaged the services of a former police officer to provide protective services for his wife. “Right now I have a former police officer, heavily armed at my house protecting my wife,” Crowder wrote. “The threats are severe. Prayers appreciated.”
Exactly. I’d like to see how they felt with rabid crowd. You can be the biggest, baddest person in town, but you can’t take on 100 grown men.
Can he sue the IBEW under the RICO act?
It’s about damned time...
Sue the unions and people involved PERSONALLY, and make it HURT....
The left is looking for MARTYRS right now, and are hell-bent on creating some. Dead useful idiots for “THE CAUSE!”
If you get murdered in Michigan, they won't do anything about it unless someone files a complaint? That seems to be the logical extension of his statement.
If you check the video after the assault, another teamster attempted to grab Crowder from behind by his jacket and drag him back into the crowd. Yes, it could have easily ignited a powderkeg response...
I am waiting for the group whose tent was destroyed and who were physically assaulted and intimidated with weapons also to file charges.
But that's just the beginning.
We should expect, indeed demand, that all future union contracts will have an ironclad clause that any similar entensively documented violence in the future be subject to instant and permanent dismissal, and the union fined significant punitive amounts.
In addition to the Hobbs Anti-Extortion Act, the RICO statutes certainly also apply.
And in the future, all damage to public property will be punishable by total restitution and jail time for the organizers.
The time for the criminal class to terrorize entire cities is past!
Now one has...
Here’s a very good piece, it’s one of the best I’ve read so far...

You seem to forget who the USAG is.
I agree, MI probably won’t do anything, unless pressed.
However, assault is assault, he is a union official and
as long as this behavior goes unreported and allowed it will
continue.
The perp needs to be brought forward to a court and at least
have notoriety and be exposed.
A friend’s son got into a fight like this over a girl.
Punch hit him in the temple and he died.
If people are allowed to get away with behavior like this
with no consequences then I can understand the lower state
of our society today.
This is Police Corruption pure and simple. Since when does the police anywhere require a complaint to be filed when they witness a mugging/assault in public?
HELLO??!!??
The incidence of this type of police union corruption nationwide is breathtaking.

He should also file a civil lawsuit as well and sue for emotional distress and bodily harm.
“Alleged” assault by organized criminals.
The video I saw on the day it took place didn't show Crowder do a single thing that could be considered aggressive, in fact he was trying to calm fatty down.
I don't believe Crowder or anyone else with a lick of sense would have tried to start a fight with any of those union goons that day with the animal behavior they were expressing, a person would have had to have a death wish.
And post #2....
That is assault and battery. Usually a felony.
If this guy gets off, then I want to see alot more people get charges dropped for plain assault. This guy needs to do some serious fines and community service, anger management, etc. I have seen finer people get hit hard with assault charges for less (no physical attack). Me included.
My feeling is they will slap him on the wrist and deferr him on account of the deep pockets of his union. Don’t doubt me...
Those union jackwipes all look the same, don’t they.
In the video, at 49 seconds, was someone yelling “He’s got a gun”?
I could swear that’s what it sounded like.
Crowder was smart.
Those were not sane people.
It was a mob of Dem demonics.
Was Rodney King’s beating alleged?
