To protect children I would act even in a hopeless situation. I would rather go out in the attempt to help and draw fire towards me and away from children then die hiding under a desk. Or survive and wonder if I could have made a difference
I understand you both. I know you are well intended. Even with good intentions, there are times when you will only increase the body count by taking action. Don’t make your family members deal with your loss, if you can’t truly make a difference.
