Conservatives need to break and form their own caucus right now!!!! It would be the seed planted to form a 3rd conservative party so we can finally separate the sheep from the goats.
Has anyone considered that Boehner is removing the most Conservative members from the committees so that they won’t be so branded by the inevitable giving over to Obama’s demands? They can still claim they stood for Conservative values in future campaigns.
It’s my belief that any Conservative party is doomed in the USSA from now on; as is any party who can’t outsteal and redistribute more taxdollars to more “demographics”. You won’t hear the term “Americans” much anymore. Talk of jobs, personal responsibility and small government scares the shite out of most of those “demographics” whose votes are now deemed necessary to elect any candidate. Where, pray tell, does that leave Conservatives in this new Socialist Society?
Yet we are expected to 'vote for the R'. See what that gets you?
There is nothing in the Constitution stating that the Speaker of the House must be a member of that body.
That said, if a Tea Partier were to be Speaker I’d choose Bachmann.
There IS something in the Constitution about succession in office. If Obama is forced out and then Biden, then the Speaker becomes president.
I really think Boner fired them as a sign of allegiance to obama or a commitment to cut a deal that Obama wants. There is no other logical reason behind this traitorous act.
It sure is. It’s never happened before. But it’s also true.

OK. I concede that you must be right. I suppose Bohener is trying to find a way to make the Republican party relevant somehow. I don’t think he can without totally abandoning the principles we have always embraced in our Conservative numbers. This country has fallen into Socialism and Communism. That’s what the majority has voted for twice. Barring some catastrophic attitude adjustment, I don’t see that changing in my lifetime. I never thought I’d find myself without a country or a political party whose values I can respect and uphold.
