There is nothing in the Constitution stating that the Speaker of the House must be a member of that body.

That said, if a Tea Partier were to be Speaker I’d choose Bachmann.

There IS something in the Constitution about succession in office. If Obama is forced out and then Biden, then the Speaker becomes president.
