The truth is that the repugnant leadership wants higher taxes and bigger government... and I am tired of voting for and supporting progressives in the progressive republican party.

So who’s gonna challenge Boehner for the Speaker’s post? Anyone? Anyone?

Until conservatives in the House are willing to oppose Boehner, at the risk of being purged from their committee assignments, then Boehner’s limp-wristed negotiating terms will be the Republican terms by default.

It’s past time for a coup d’etat, sending Boehner to the back benches (and an early tee time and happy hour).

IMO, the Republicans should pass one bill that entends the Bush tax rates for everyone except for the top rate and make them PERMANENT and tie this bill to eliminating the AMT or raising it to inflation adjusted rates from the past 30 or 40 years.

Then pass a second bill that extends the Bush tax cut for the upper income taxpayers - let the Dems and 0bama shoot this bill down, so they own the tax raises.

Then threaten to shut down the government by not raising the debt celing if there are no spending cuts.

I stood in line for an hour and a half to vote, and got Obama for another four years. As a result, the Kenyan-licking GOP, headed by that wine-guzzling, drippy-eyed Oompa-Loompa named John Boehner, could not WAIT to cave. Boehner has been falling all over himself to give Obama what he wants.

The Dem party stands firm on its “principles” and fights like a bunch of pit bulls, never giving an inch. The GOP, however, refuses to fight. When the game is “who blinks first”, we know it will ALWAYS be the Republicans.

This was supposed to be the most important election of my lifetime. So it won’t matter whether I stick with the GOP or not. If 2016 brings a solid conservative candidate, and I believe that’s an absolute pipe dream, I’ll vote. Otheerwise I’m done with these Vichy backstabbers.

Republicans once opposed to any new revenue...

And responses here are filled with the knee-jerk, sky is falling empty threats and tantrums as usual.

Actually KITV/MSNBC, Republicans DID NOT oppose "any new revenue" they have repeatedly disagreed with Obama how to get new revenue. They offered cutting deductions, closing loopholes and growing the economy while Obama's stuck on stupid.... err on raising rates.

The republican’s oft stated excuse for folding, (so the media will like them more), is absurd.

They don’t understand that conservative’s view of them should matter most, as we outnumber the socialists. And THIS crap is infuriating us!

Change your affiliation to Independent.
The RNC is rotting offal that needs to be buried.

Soon, there will be a Dept. of Equalization. This cabinet secretary or czar will be responsible for insuring equal outcomes for all of the people.

Things that tyrannies are made from, and history repeating itself...again.

Our own history tells us that it took 33% of the population to defeat a superpower. Our history also shows the second time, when it was 50-50, we all lost.

Unfortunately, methinks history will repeat itself...again.

The GOP are the Judenrat for the MarxoFascists.

If you want what is left of your liberty to survive - you better understand that.

Worse is coming. And the Judenrat GOP is going to be the arm of imposition for the MarxoFascists.

To the ovens they are going to send us all, thinking they get a seat at the table of power and survive.

What I really appreciate is how Boehner and the GOP leadership have held press conferences and gone on national TV to explain directly to the American people that (a) increasing taxes on the top 2% of wage earners will feed the federal government for an additional eight days; and (b) taxng the top 2% at 100% and confiscating 100% of their wealth will feed the govenment for less than a year. Oh wait, never mind.

.... True Americans failed to do their patriotic duty on Nov 6th 2012. Anything that has happened and will happen since that historic date should come as no surprise to all.

.... I am still at a loss to understand why so many people just turned their backs on, and let this country fall so easily. They denied their country help when she needed it most.

Yes, Nov. 6th, 2012 is an historic day that will live in infamy.

What is a “fair share” for the “rich” to pay, John? Tell us, please. The top 10% pay 70% of all income taxes. Should it be 90%? 100%? What should it be? These guys are such F’ing jokes.

Not just the rich. Just got an email from my employer, taxes for 2013 increase in Social security (up 2%), SS wage base up (110,100 to 113,700/4642.20 to 7049.40), Medicare part A payroll tax up 0.9% (1.45% to 2.35%). The 10% income tax bracket is eliminated; The lowest will be 15%. The top four brackets increase:

25% to 28%
28% to 31%
33% to 36%
35% to 39.6%

and that doesn’t include the health care insurance increases!

Welcome to Obama world.

Boehner, the best liberal friend Obama has in the house.

I can hardly wait for open voting season on liberal GOP conservatives.

This story is the fruit of Obama's meeting with MSNBC stars in the WH.

He told them how to frame the story.

Even Freepers are believing MSNBC these days...
