In a nutshell, it would mean another 2009-10 stretch that would last for about ten years instead of two. Any '10-type anger would be split into two parties, so the Dems would govern Congress with pluralities or outright majorities. That's exactly what happened in Canada. Thanks to the vote-splitting in the Right, enough Liberals got past the post first to make for majority governments. So, we had Liberal hegemony from 1993 to 2006.
