New York's Gabriel Sherman reports that Fox News is scaling back airtime for Republican pundit Karl Rove, in what appears to be a reprimand for Rove's meltdown during the network's live election broadcast.
Sources told Sherman that Fox News chief Roger Ailes has ordered his staff to bench Rove and his fellow GOP pundit Dick Morris, two of the network's most vocal partisan voices whose predictions turned out to be spectacularly wrong. According to Sherman, producers must now get permission before booking Rove or Morris on Fox shows.
The move comes as Fox takes steps to rehab its image in the wake of Republican defeats this November. Rove, in particular, has been widely mocked by members of both parties, both for his onscreen tantrum and for the abysmal performance of his American Crossroads super PAC.

Barbra Streisand!
Too of the most Partisan and Most Incorrect.
Great news! Rove is a POS phony. Although he does not piss me off quite as much as John McCain.

It didn't have to be massive, really. It had to be targeted to districts where no one would question the fraud, where GOP observers could be removed and no one would stop that, and it had to be in swing states.
What could not be obtained through machine conversions (vote one, get a vote for the other counted--as we are assured not difficult for those who know the electronic machines) could be obtained through the time honored methods of not counting some votes, and stuffing the ballot box with fraudulent votes.
IIRC, the needed number of votes was roughly 100,000 in each of the 4 states which Barry carried. Look at the Fla fraud against Rep. West, and you get the picture of what can be done in a district, more so in a state.
Did the Republican vote not show up, or did the votes just not count? As polarized and charged as the election was, as strong as the distaste for Obama and his policies, and especially on the heels of Benghazi, do you consider it likely that a few million fewer voters went out and voted GOP? Or did their votes just go down the memory hole?
Well, that motto is better than MSNBC’s:
FAIRY and UNBALANCED
I’m not ashamed to say I thought Morris would be proven to be the smartest guy on the planet the day after the election. But I did expect he’d be relegated to the doghouse if he was wrong.
This ‘Grace Wyler’ must have a radically different definition of “meltdown” than I do. I watched the video and saw no meltdown. You want to see a meltdown? Watch me go off on libertarians some time.
Better late than never. Worst things that have happened to republicans, and in many ways to the entire country, are the Bush family and their GOPe makeover. Rove is them. We are here because of them.
HAHAHA....so long, Gerber Baby!
I’ve never understood why Dick Morris was respected in the first place.
While I’m no Rove fan - it is understandable how people looked to him as an expert.
As far as election night?
I’ve got mixed feelings. If anyone SHOULDN’T be surprised by fraud -you would think it would be Rove.
Having worked in the trenches, you would think he’d be more aware of the those dangers.
As far as Rove having a meltdown?
Heck - whatever - I’ve been melting down since that night too.
It was a night of darkness and we will all pay dearly for many years to come.
RE: Ive never understood why Dick Morris was respected in the first place.
He had a track record helping Clinton win several elections as early as when Bubba was running for governor.
Which is exactly what happened .
The Daley machine run by his brother oversaw the attempted voters theft in 2000 with gore and they learned from their mistakes !
They put the machine in place in 2004 and never dismantled it and sued in states to stop voter ID !
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who sees that. It drives me nuts when he sits there talking to Brent Bozell about the latest outrage, and laughing the whole time. "Oh, those rascally liberals, aren't they silly!"
Rove is the Marty Scottenheimer of politics. Overhyped and as likely to deliver a loss as a win at crucial moments with his Dem-clone nonsense.
FINALLY!!! What a great news to get rid of this nasty piece of @%#*&%$ rino!!! Thank you Fox News. May be I will watch this channel again.
you forgot sally kohn
You’re still blaming a SIXTEEN POINT LOSS on Rove?
He only dreams he was that powerful.
MAYBE a bad candidate like O’Donnell’s bad loss is the fault of the candidate. I realize that’s a completely insane, out there, crazy theory.
it was a Chicago style election which won it for them.
In my state , OH, VA, WI even the amount of fraud was enough for them to win.
No one could have predicted how much fraud there would be and yes you are right it will happen again unless this pathetic party gets out there and does something about it.
I was talking to a pal who served too up in VA nad he also said there was no way the military was split dead even in his state.
Hell look at PA, only 30 votes each precinct more would have won it for us there so it’s very easy for them with Holder, 4 years the DOJ to have robbed the election.
Anyway ut;s been well documentated on here off many others so i won;t go into all of it
OH I wouldn;t say piss oor GOP Ipd say more like cowardly elitist GOP, the likes of Peggy Noonan, Brit Hume, Charles Krauthammer, Cantor, Bohner and the rest care about their power and pockets .
Sarah, Newt, Col West, Mia Love etc are what should be leading us
It was never ‘exclusively’ Rove, although he’s pretty symbolic of why I gave up on the channel. It was right after the 2010 mid-terms, and FoxNews really changed course, veering leftward... they suddenly turned cool on the Tea Party topics, dropped the border/illegals issue, ditched Beck, less coverage of ideological dust-ups out in mid-America and endlessly more of beltway shenanigans and the political horseraces. It’s like FoxNews suddenly became more like what MSNBC is to Dems, in the way it transformed into a blatant propaganda arm of the D.C. GOP-Establishment. It wasn’t really quite like that before. I went from the point of switching channels whenever I saw Rove pop up, to just not even turning the channel on to begin with.
I’ll still occasionally catch the network from time to time, especially if I see a guest on I like, such as Sarah, Allen West, Malkin, Bila, DeMint or such. But gosh, I used to have the channel on all the time, like it was a default position for my tv-set. Now? Maybe a half-hour per week!
