Syria is believed to hold chemical weapons - including mustard gas and sarin, a highly toxic nerve agent - at dozens of sites around the country.
The CIA has said those weapons "can be delivered by aircraft, ballistic missile and artillery rockets".

There is one major problem with this strategy. And since we have Progressives running the country, one must assume current US leadership is too stupid to realize the problem. Back when we were developing the SDI strategy that won the Cold War, there was one major obstacle that had to be over come to prevent nuclear annihilation. The Russians viewed missile defense as being an offensive weapon. The only way to break that log jam and to muzzle the Russians and their Progressive toadies in the US, was to have Reagan offer the missile defense to the Russians. Basically codevelopment. That strategy disarmed the Russian opposition and won the Cold War. Of course back then the Progressives thought Reagan was mad.
Now here we are in the present day, with the same retarded progressives now running the country. The Russians will view the deployment as being offensive in nature. This will make them contemplate having Assad either use the Chemical WMD's to end the terrorist insurgency, or to launch a first strike from Syria into Turkey before the missile defense systems are activated.

Didn’t Turkey opt out of supporting us during DESERT STORM? They didn’t want to fight with Moslems. Now, we’re supposed to defend them? From Moslems? Something doesn’t make sense here.
