Republican Sen. John McCain became so fed up with a Republican colleagues efforts to block the National Defense Authorization Act on Monday that he suggested in a floor speech that perhaps Democratic Majority Leader Harry Reids push to change the rules of the filibuster was not a bad idea.

Then lets embrace it when WE HAVE THE SENATE.I disagree. By definition, almost ANYTHING the government does will be bad (possibly except confirming judicial nominees). Therefore the less stuff that makes it through, the fewer hits freedom will take. Think how often their actions increase and metastasize government as opposed to how often they repeal laws and regulations, dissolve departments, etc. Even when Republicans are in charge, gridlock is probably good, especially if you balance it against the downside of giving the [other] statists a free hand when they're in the majority.
