First off, sorry about the insulting term I used. But Southern Border issues just really pull my string.
“Your logic seems to be that the legal Chinese citizens are good Americans, therefore Chinese anchor babies are ok. “
No. Anchor babies are not okay. I merely was pointing out the differences between the hardworking, successful Chinese I know, and the illegal aliens who are flooding all of our systems. The Chinese are exploiting the same hole in our defenses as the illegal immigrants are, but I think they have a much better chance of integrating into our society. But the anchor baby “hole” should be closed.
I hear the “70% voted for obama” number often, and it surprises me. I wonder just where that polling was done? In downtown Cleveland,,, perhaps. In Solon, no way.
“Do you really think that the rightness or wrongness of this issue should be predicated on your Chinese friends?”
I wasn’t actually talking about the “anchor baby” issue. I was talking about people, culture, etc..
It sounds like we agree for the most part. The lack of a secure border is made worse by a lack of assimilation. Lat’s patch up the old, battered melting pot and stop the overflow. We know this approach works to produce exactly what we both want - successful, legal, Americans who are vested in the national good regardless of culture.

There have also been quite a few articles about these folks who being in their elderly chinese relatives, who immediately go on social security without paying dime one.
