CNSNews.com) - The federal government has now borrowed more money during Barack Obama’s time as president than it did in the period lasting from the time President George Washington took the oath office until July 2, 2001, more than five months into the first term of President George W. Bush.
At the close of business on Jan. 20, 2009, when President Barack Obama was inaugurated, the national debt stood at $10,626,877,048,913.08, according to the Treasury. At the close of business this Thursday, it stood at $16,323,083,449,604.98.
That means the debt has increased $5,696,206,400,691.90 during Obama’s presidency.
On July 2, 2001, more than five months after President George W. Bush entered office, the national debt was $5,693,220,327,798.14, according to the Treasury. By the close of business on July 3, 2001, it had risen to 5,698,195,769,465.40. Since then, the debt has never again dropped below $5,696,206,400,691.90—the amount it has increased in less than one full term of Obama.
(Between late 1999 and the middle of 2001, as federal revenues sometimes exceeded expenditures, the debt fluctuated back and forth over the $5.696 trillion mark--only to finally pass that threshold, without retrenching, between July 2 and 3, 2001.)
How many generations of Americans will it take to pay for this economic disaster? We ought to be ashamed of ourselves for destroying our great country. Too many of our citizens don’t know what it takes to be a success in this country anymore.

To be frank, i look forward to the day when we have the means to disown the Federal debt and screw the foolish investors that fund this tyrannical expansion of Washington’s power.
That day will come one way or anther, if you ask me it cannot come soon enough, nor bluntly enough. When folks stop lending Washington money Washington has no choice but to live off the backs of the very people who foolishly subsist upon it.
Obama is not just stealing money from all Americans via future debt obligations, he is also stealing money from every person on this planet. That will occur as this criminal US Administration ramps up the printing press and tries to inflate away its past debt with near worthless future dollars. They will be intentionally causing the collapse of the Worlds Reserve Currency. They are Global criminals committing crimes against the entire population of this planet. Every country on this planet will want DC destroyed, due to these crimes alone.
But you are not borrowing money from yourself to buy a new house. And you are not printing that borrowed money on the computer in your basement. The criminal US administration is doing just that. They are destroying the Worlds Reserve Currency.

You’re not missing anything at all—Bush was a spendthrift as well. However, GW is long out of office, and Obama is spending at twice the rate. That is not Bush’s fault. Obama is attempting to bankrupt the USA.
I doubt many Obama supporters can appreciate the cost of carrying large debt.

As I understand it, Ws portion of the debt was about 5 trillion. The stimulus was about 700 billion. While it didn’t help things, it was only about. 1/7th of the total debt accrued by W.
I hope all those youngsters who enthusiastically supported him both times enjoy their working and living like slaves because of his policies.
