Forget last nights interview. Newt was much better tonight on Hannity and laid out exactly what Republicans need to do and explained why they have much more power than they realize. The interview begins at the 4:00 mark.

Excellent comments.
The great Romney made sure Newt couldn’t be president.
Too bad he didn’t go after the Marxist in the same fashion.
I’m watching the Hannity replay right now.

Newt would be right (( IF )) this wasn’t true...
For two years(2010) the House republicans have financed every single program of Obama..
They did it on purpose knowing they could cut him off at the knees financially.. BUT DIDN’T...
The republican congress have supported Obama NOT opposed him..
To think anything has changed you must be a moron..

There is only one problem: the GUTLESS Republicans in both houses do not have the will or the tenacity necessary to do the right thing. They will instead play “politics” and “compromise” with Obamessiah and the democRATS because the overwhelming majority of Republicans in both houses are corrupt and care more about their position and power than they do the country or defending the Constitution of the United States.

Obama was reelected BECAUSE many stupid republicans stayed home. This includes manyhere on FR. I voted against obama but at least I voted. I was stupid in 92 and look what we got.

No more leftists shills like Akin & Mourdock. Real conservatives please. And that means we stop listening to the Pelosi-loving Gingrich. He's a sham.

how bad does it have to get before people wake up?

So I guess those 64% like this guy better.......no way. I think we all knew Obama wasn’t leaving office, either by fraud or force he was staying.

We’re lucky to have at least one brain in D. C. - Newt. Now if the rest of the weenies would listen to him and get tough with Zero and the Democrats.
To: nickcarraway
We must stop this eliminating those we support if they have done something we don't like. Newt laid out a very good sensible plan to use to deal with these evil Dims and Barack HUSSEIN Obama.
We are NEVER going to find someone we agree with 100% of the time. Go, Newt!!
To: nickcarraway
Newt probably didn't like Dede any better than anyone else did but Newt understands the need to create Republican majorities and Dede had an R after her name and was still preferable to the Dim.
Granted, it was a bitter pill to swallow but I understand it. This is the way sausage is made.

Sounds good but Obama certainly was no conservative and those were the choices.

Where did you get the Obama, 2006 quote?

I felt buoyed by listening to Newt. Obviously, he had put a lot of thought into his ideas. We have nothing to lose.
I heard part of Obama's speech and he was telling how if the Republicans do not do it his way, that taxes on the middle class will be going up over $2,000 dollars per year. It was simple and easy to understand so he already had the upper hand.

When Newt says “Republicans in the House”, he means the whiner. Time to grow a set Boehner, you are going to need them the next 4 years.
To: Timber Rattler
Not going to argue with you because you're right but that doesn't change the facts at the time. There are two problems with holding a grudge against Newt for supporting Dede. She was a Republican and counted toward a Republican majority and besides even if Newt screwed up royally, we cannot continue to discard everyone because they do something we don't like. This is why we have Barack HUSSEIN Obama as our president.
We are ALL flawed human beings and no one is perfect. We must stop eating our own.

‘They should make Newt Gingrich the head of the Republican party....’
My thought too. Newt should take over the RNC; maybe then they’d learn some ‘street smart’ tactics and fight fire with fire.
To: Lancey Howard
I could be wrong and frequently am, I believe that the Speaker of the House can be a non-member, I’m going to contact my congressman and urge him to support former Speaker Newt Gingrich to replace Boehner as the new Speaker.
Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, what we need in these times.

Newt is a fighter for principles. And he is the smart one of the Republican leaders. Even though he had baggage, I would have voted for him based on his accomplishments and conservative ideas(like the highly successful Contract with America). Romney had baggage and I would not vote for him.
Blaming voters for bad candidates like Romney is very counter productive. Real leaders convince people to support them. Phonies get mad at people who do not vote their way.
In a large part, Mr. Obama and his successes were made by the Republican Party, in their choice of losing candidates and continuous funding and support of Liberal Democrat Obama policies. Of course, there were several photo op votes that meant nothing except fodder for ad for the home folks, but when the chips were on the line, the Republicans folded.
There may not be a national Republican party in 2016.
Romney seems to be making a few moves to run .
