Pelosi: Give Obama Power to Personally Lift Debt Limit to Infinity

(CNSNews.com) - House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said on Friday that Congress should hand over to President Barack Obama personal, unilateral authority to increase the limit on the U.S. government's debt.

At a Friday press conference, a reporter asked Pelosi if she agreed with a proposal made by Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner that Congress give Obama the power to unilaterally increase the debt limit.

"Yes," she said.

When he met with members of Congress on Thursday to discuss a deal to avoid the so-called fiscal cliff that is set to occur at the end of this year, Secretary Geithner suggested that Congress give Obama the personal power as president to lift the legal limit on the federal government's debt.

You know I have been preaching this for a while. It only took a few months into 2011 before I saw that there was way more than one thing wrong with the GOP.

Most here agree that the Romney's and Mccain’s and Gramnesty’s are a disaster. We all do.

But what about the claims being posted by more than a few that Angles or Akins would have beat Warren in MA this election? It seems like this is definitely the wrong lesson learned.

The real question is, and you should appreciate this Is :

How could the GOP have picked a bunch of fights with Obama and executed as a team to actually beat him, meaning making him cave to public opinion? Or at least the opinion of key voters in swing states? Rather than the opposite?

Was that really impossible ?

No it didn’t, and I’ve railed on that for years. It gave the the Left cover to say we were no better too. And now we look like we’re being two faced.

Bush destroyed our ability to push for decent policies. Too many well meaning people on our side, trashed criticism of Bush’s actions in what they considered to be defense of Conservatism.
