I hear that Rice’s husband works for an oil company and that is part of the reason that she was picked to go and lie to the public. The Obama administration knew that she could not withstand another nomination battle and that even the Democrat greens were wouldn’t support her.
Rice’s background is so checkered that there is actually no way she was even competent for this position as UN Ambassador. She did exactly the same thing at the time of the Kenya bombings (when she was theoretically responsible for that area of Africa under Clinton) that she’s doing now - deny and obfuscate.
Although she tries hard to protect AQ, I don’t think her parents are Muslims. But she’s from a very well off and well-connected family. Her parents were upper level academics very involved in US policy, and her father was one of the Governors of the Federal Reserve. I’m not sure they’re both black - or if they were, they were extremely light-skinned, because Rice barely looks black.
However, she staked her claim in progressivist politics, and while she was not herself smart or aggressive enough to get ahead, she, like the supposed feminist icon Hillary, has dedicated her life to protecting these important progressivist males (Bill Clinton and Obama). She really doesn’t care if he throws her under the bus.
