O'Reilly: Dems to push for wealth tax (confiscation of private property)
O'Reilly Show/Fox | 11/28/12

Posted on 11/28/2012 8:12:21 PM PST by pabianice

Far from compromising, Dems will push for a "wealth tax" to take money away from people who they say have too much. Also, not one cut in Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, or Obamacare. They are tripling down again. Meanwhile, Repubs in the House are already talking about tax increases.

One way is to agree and then demand fairness where they would not want it..challenging the concept of fairness. For instance, it isn’t fair that Mexico does not open its borders and opportunities to us, it is not fair that men still have to pay alimony to wives with educations and careers, it is not fair that women do not register at 18 years of age but men must, it is not fair that people are allowed deductions for children when they are using more services than those without children, it is not fair that unemployed people have more free time than those who are employed, it is not fair that classrooms are geared towards average kids, leaving bright kids to fend for themselves...and on and on and on.

Your post is spot on, but don’t leave the country. Come to Texas. I think before something as vile as this “wealth tax”
is passed, Texas, and maybe some other very red states such
as Oklahoma and Alabama - roll tide- will have said enough is
enough and will begin a serious process to put in place some
kind of an organized “boycott” of the Federal System.

The point is. Don’t run away. Begin to fight.

After hearing of the skirmishes at Lexington and Concord, at
his home in Mount Vernon, George Washington said this:

“the once-happy and peaceful plains of America are either to be drenched in blood or inhabited by slaves. Sad alternative! But can a virtuous man hesitate in his choice?”

Will you be a tax slave to the takers? or will you fight?

The only truth, the only thing you need to understand is that it is not possible for the United States to tax its way out of its deficits.
The more taxes you give Government the more money it spend even beyond the additional taxes.
You stop deficits only by cutting spending.

...”Bitch and moan - bitch and moan, thats all they do about the wealthy ...
For Chrissakes, some guy wrote an opinion article about those that had generators during Superstorm Sandy - saying it wasn’t fair that some people had them and others didn’t” ...

Because all of us are different, there will be no end to this madness. The irresponsible who never think ahead always depend on stealing the preparations others have made toward the future when hard times hit. Now, they are using government to do their stealing for them. It was either BRAVE NEW WORLD or 1984 which described this evil going so far as to demand that those born better looking than most should have enforced cosmetic surgery to make them equal to the rest. There is no floor to this kind of warped criminality.

Total surrender of liberty. i’ll bet Marc Lamont the “commie” is a recipient
of affirmative action. He supposedly has a PhD in sociology, African studies.
Whatever it’s a useless degre except for socialist indoctination.

That commie Lamont is representative of the Black socialist which 99%
of them belong.

If we coming to real class warfare It will also be racial warfare.

I thought that the ownership of private property was the cornerstone of our republic. What is going on here?

"The only truth, the only thing you need to understand is that it is not possible for the United States to tax its way out of its deficits."

Invented by Arthur Laffer, the "Laffer Curve" shows the relationship between tax rates and tax revenue collected by governments. The chart below shows the Laffer Curve:

The curve suggests that, as taxes increase from low levels, tax revenue collected by the government also increases. It also shows that tax rates increasing after a certain point (T*) would cause people not to work as hard or not at all, thereby reducing tax revenue. Eventually, if tax rates reached 100% (the far right of the curve), then all people would choose not to work because everything they earned would go to the government.

This curve also suggests that as more money in taxes is taken from the wealth producers, less money is available to grow the economy through new innovations and capitol investments. Wealth in the hands of the individual is like gasoline in the tank of a taxi. The more gasoline in the tank, the further the taxi can go to make profits. The more profits, the more taxis can be purchased to make more profits and, of course, to purchase more gasoline.

This hatred of the wealthy on a national level began with William Jennings Bryan, the leader of the Progressive movement, combining his moral crusade against atheism and secularism with an even more vigorous crusade against Big Business. This movement reached its ultimate consequence with the election of Theodore Roosevelt. It is ironic that this champion of Progressivism was a Republican. Republicans in the past have licked the boots of our nation's enemies in order to gain power.

“So this is how life is in Russia..people wanted this crap, they wanted to live under Communism,”

Many Russians didn’t opt for Communism; Lenin and a small group took over a few key cities, and the rest was history. 20 years later the Axis invasion showed how unpopular the Communists were, as people flocked to support the Axis. The Communists only stemmed the flow by sending provocateurs behind the lines to harass the invaders; the response drove many of those people back to Stalin’s side (the USSR publicly admitted this under Gorbachev).

“Kelo is the MOST f’d up ruling SCOTUS has made since Dred Scott ...”

That was a messed-up decision, and the outcome showed how much. Along the Hudson River in NY there was a little village called Doodletown (south of West Point, on the border of a state park); in the 1960s the state used eminent domain to seize the dozens of properties of the people living there to build a ski center, then never built it. 200 years before the ancestors of some of those property owners had fought the British at nearby Fort Clinton and Fort Montgomery (you can still see their graves in the old cemeteries scattered throughout the area); they would have been better off supporting George III.

After hurricane Rita an idiot stopped in front of my house and she actually believed the power company had given the generators to the “RICH” people and since she wasn’t rich she didn’t get one.

I’ve been expecting this since 1992 when Clinton first started talking about the “Natural Resources” belonging to everyone and no one individual should own “Natural Resources”.

Let’s see if they start using talking points about “Natural Resources” being the wealth of the nation and how they belong to everyone.

“so I’d most likely be looking at land in the Phillipines.”

Good luck, they will take their slice when you try to leave with it.

If people cared enough to resist the IRS would be easy to bog down in paperwork. Submit handwritten returns with poor marks or writing, forcing human review. Submit amended returns for small omitted deductions, get a $10 refund. Submit quarterly returns, even if not required. All handwritten.

That bloviator extraordinaire, BoR, asserted that a wealth tax, i.e. taxing you on your property is unconstitutional... Tell that to the states, Bill! What do you think property taxes are?

If the left ever gains control of the house, then everything we own is up for grabs.

No tax increase should be considered until a 100% “tax” is enacted on all Congress and the Senate wealth that has been accumulated outside of their public servant salary. Said tax should be retroactive to their entire political career. Once they’ve turned over those ill-gotten gains, we can talk about the rest of us.

It is high profile rich limo-liberals who are demanding higher taxes but they know they will not pay because they shield their income with tax loops like activist lefty foundations.

Sounds like what we need is a "foundation tax". Whatever the highest tax rate is on wealth, tax foundations the same, or at least 20% of their total holdings.

Lefty foundations are much to blame for the destruction of America.

They hold a great deal of wealth. Destroy them with taxes.

My favorite is Doctor of Education in Social Justice at the University of Massachusetts. You can be affirmative-actioned into UMass with cellar SATs and spend the next seven years doing absolutely nothing except attending hate-whitey sessions and at the end become a “doctor.” That the tax payers pay for this is appalling.

"Dems to push for wealth tax (confiscation of private property)"

Great idea!

Tax the Foundations' wealth 90%

Tax the Union-pension wealth 90%
